Some of your takes still drive me absolutely crazy, but I have to admit you've been correct on a number of big points regarding the virus and media handling of it. I think you got lucky spit balling on a bunch of it because we just simply didn't really know much about the virus for a long time (I still don't think we have a clue about most of its characteristics). And I'm not willing to go as far as you on some of the more out there conspiracy ideas and election stuff. I don't think there's enough competence available on either side to accomplish something like that.

One of the craziest things I've observed in my life is that people are unaware of this....

Boosters waning efficacy now after 10 weeks and the fear is that continual boosters makes them less effective over time.

IÂ’m very much willing to listen on the efficacy of the vaccine in reducing transmission, and think that the mandates become much, much less justifiable if it doesnÂ’t help with that. However, itÂ’s worth pointing out that thereÂ’s a difference between contracting COVID and getting very sick from it. If the vaccine is helping with the latter, itÂ’s still worth promoting the heck out of it, even if we need to take a step back on calling it a civic duty or turning the unvaccinated into pariahs.

My family is fully vaccinated (this week, anyway) and I've been a proponent of the vaccinations. It still seems pretty clear that the vaccine isn't keeping anyone from contracting or spreading the virus.

The only time we were out and not wearing KN95s and eye glasses was when my daughter took her mask off for the dentist, and those staff were wearing KN95s, had special ventilation put in last summer just for COVID, and were pulling each item they used from new or sterile packaging.

I have no problem promoting it to lessen the severity, but it's been sold as a cure. "Don't invite your unvaccinated family to Thanksgiving," "we need 60% vaccination to reach herd immunity," etc. My vaccination is fine for me, but it's becoming more and more clear that it doesn't do anything for anyone else.

We've been fed a lot of stuff that was a combination of CYA or power grabbing by bureaucrats and fear porn by media. It's been a 2 year indoctrination.
