I drove into the city today and was pleased to zip down 80 blocks of Broadway in less than 15 minutes.

Two elder care ambulances whizzed by going in the other direction. Dont know why they had their sirens on. There was no traffic.

Anyone think this administration is planning on putting a permanent pandemic response team in place to deal with the next one?

I find it interesting and unsurprising that the states with most draconian measures are led by Democratic governors

Not unnecessary to most to find out if they are infected.

At the drive-thru, medical professionals interview motorists, do a temperature test and determine if the person needs to be tested. No appointments or prescriptions are required.

While the testing will predominantly serve South Side residents, anyone who exhibits symptoms can be tested.

108 years ago today RMS Titanic received her first ice warnings.

She would be on the bottom of the Ocean by the early hours of 15 April 1912.

Unheeded warnings, then like now, are always at the heart of tragedies

where leaders combine a deadly mix of arrogance and ignorance.
The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is to make sure he doesn’t get a gun.

Thank you and yet only 10-20% have virus so a still have a tremendous sampling of people sampling of people who are not.

I bet every person who says they have a cough do have one.

Yiu guys love to present yourselves as saints thinking about the people dying and yet pay no attention to what has happened on the global economy.

You were incensed when I merely suggested that only 100k americans would die and now we wont even get to 50k.

The damage we have done to our economy and civil liberties is by far worse and we will look back at this time decades from now and ask what the hell were we thinking.

NYC is the only place that needed any of this.

Further, this would be bad sampling technique to extrapolate the percentage of people who have the virus.

It's not that bad to determine percentage who have the antibodies.

No one has done that, but it doesn't take being a saint to care about people dying, just a small amount of empathy. The economy's only value is what it brings to humanity. It was a balancing act from the beginning. The biggest fear is not how many people will die but overwhelming a health care system which is stretched too thin to begin with in order to maximize profit.
