Wanna hear something crazy?
My lady is in NY... two of her co doctors are positive... but they are still told to work.
Ny lady got tested, was negative, but was still going to work.
So to be clear, healthy people cant go to church, but positive doctors are allowed to work on sick and elderly patients
You're saying this as if it's entirely a bad thing.
Hey you medical workers, you gotta treat people coming in with this highly infectious and contagious disease... we don't have enough PPE equipment to keep you as safe as possible, but the best we can do is keep tests for you so we know how bad this is spreading around the 6th floor.
Seems reasonable to me.
Forever Fredi
Sweden will have a downturn but presumably less than its neighbors. At the end of the day we will be able to compare loss of life per $ of lost GDP. It's an interesting calculation to make.
Germany is going to come off looking good because it has both low fatalities and low economic disruption.
To me testing is a cost efficient way to avoid this awful choice between economic disaster and loss of life. Not completely avoid it but make it less awful.
It's the weirdest thing.
They take the test, which takes 1 or 2 days to get results. They are not allowed to work while they wait for the results.
But, once they get results, they are allowed to work! But they are not mandated to, they have the option.
I have no idea if that is against the rules but that is what she reported to me.
Another thing that makes no sense.
She visited me last week in the mountains. She didnt want to drive bc she was worried about being pulled over with NY plates. But she flew (she said 3 people on plane).
So the state doesnt want people driving alone in their car out of NY (bc they presumably could have virus)...but they are allowed to fly?
Again, all the rules seem so stupid and illogical
Well, I don't love that.
