I would be fine with them making it mandatory if entering a public space/building, but choice otherwise.

Sustained interaction i would agree and that is what the study suggests.

Walking around outside or in a ventilated supermarket doesn't seem to be worth it to me.

Also if you're under 50 years old you have more risk in a swimming pool

I've never been to a public pool without safety regulations. Have you?

This is not the bad flu. You can argue otherwise but it'll be hard convincing me because of the 20 folk I know who have had it, died from it, or have it now, one just coming off the ventilator. They range in age from 12 to 95.

I probably will if we are talking similar dangers and unknowns. It's part of what I'm called to do by my faith. I don't buy the cold and regular flu analogies. Sorry.

Sorry to hear this. I've always thought we undervalued human life, but the losses I have had the past two years (one in front of me unexpectedly and left in front of me for over six hours) has reinforced that thought. I would rather be dirt poor for the rest of my life than watch another friend die. I would also rather be dirt poor for the rest of my life than have anyone else have to deal with that.

Sturg, I'm just not as convinced as you are friend that it is useless. So, for now, I am not worrying about an inconvenience. I'm also not going to dictate to others.

My friend just coming off the ventilator has been thru hell and has such a long road to recovery. My 95 year old dear saint has been living in a hotspot (nursing home) where around 60 people have contracted it and around 20 have died thus far, and has now tested negative twice!! That woman is amazing.

My best friend died in November (cancer) at 34. He would've most likely not survived this. I have wondered if it would've been worse. Loss is loss. I would be shattered regardless. But what if he had been beating it and corona took him because of some selfish spoiled brat who didn't want to wear a mask in the grocery store? With a 103k deaths in the United States (and counting), that scenario or a very similar one has happened.

I hate cancer. I'm sorry friend! We talk tons about rights (and there's a place for that) but to little about responsibilities.

I'm not afraid. Went into the middle of NYC recently. Would go into the hotspot nursing home if I could.

And as I've said, I'm not mandating or dictating to anyone. You are lord of your own conscience, not me. I just don't understand why masks are such a big deal to folks.

I wear masks when I go to a store so the scared people around me dont have panic attacks.

But my governor has made it a.mandate to participate in society, with 0 evidence, and I'm over the whole thing

Explain how handcuffing your hands do harm!

I know you love daddy govt to tell you what to do but some of like to make our own choices
That's a childish and obstreperous point of view.

It also reveals you to be selfish and irresponsible and in need of daddy govt to tell you what to do.

You've been conditioned to believe that people standing up for their liberty is selfish.

    You are a good sheep

I think you just like to complain, while not realizing that you live in an extremely free and safe country in an extremely free and safe time of history.

You should be happy for what you have, rather than yapping about petty, inconsequential things like an annoying little lap dog.
