You havent heard that from me... but not sure why youd be mad about hypothetical double standards as you are currently bragging about having them in 20w0 thread

or do you think the 5th time i say it you will understand we as a country are allowing it to happen cause we choose to allow it to happen?

how many in eruope or new zealand or canada etc are losing their business cause a mandatory shut down? i bet it's not comparable to here

is that cause those societies don't allow that to happen?
The government is borrowing $4T from future generations and handing it out across the country.

It is simultaneously bankrupting businesses and our country.

    Against business owners free will.

    (That's the tyranny part)

Tyranny is a great rallying cry. But by and large what we have here is you disagreeing with policies and calling them tyranny. The distinction is worth giving some thought.

I guess it is less satisfying to say I disagree with Governor X and this is why.

All laws are against your free will. This is not an adult argument.

I'm happy to tell you why I disagree with them, but then I will get the endless posts about how I'm killing people and if I just follow the rules then I wont get in trouble.

But we have a country where a business owner wants to voluntarily sell products to citizens who want to voluntarily purchase them is now illegal with the threat of jailtime.

Mom and pop hardware store cannot be open but home depot can.

Then a year from now the same people will be complaining about wealth inequality.

We have a state saying it's illegal to go to my neighbors house. Do I need to explain why I disagree with that?

And why isn't 'individual liberty' not a good enough answer. In this scenario my neighbor voluntarily invites me over and I voluntarily go, and we are now breaking a law.

You may or may not be surprised at how many laws I disagree with.

But at least they are (usually) passed via representatives of the people.

Not the whims of an executive

MI Gov is operating under powers given her by the legislature. I'd assume that's true for most govs.

why is does it seem most every other first world country had a lockdown and they didn't have people screaming about haircuts and tyranny etc

    what do you suppose that?

In sturg's defense, I think he has been fairly consistent in condemning police abuses.

I mean, say what you want about the tenets of "don't tread on me" Libertarianism, but at least it is an ethos.

If you had gotten around to being a stathead in the beginning you would be well versed in SQL by now...maybe.

Back then accounting was a twinkle in my eye. Had no clue how to really use excel then which to me is an effective introduction to the world of databases.

So should these stores when they reopen be given legal immunity from lawsuits from employees or customers. For example a barber who sickens his customers.

Don't emergency powers have a constitutional or legal basis. I believe state laws or constitutions spell out executive powers for situations such as the ones we are facing.

Seriously though. When does climate change become an emergency and we are not allowed to drive in a car with less than 3 people?
