So why is this thread so dead from the doomsayers?
Yall should be PANICKING right now.
But here the former head of CDC admits that lockdowns were unnecessary.
It was all meant for control.
Now we have a new narrative, and I'm guessing the experts and media will hope everyone forgets how the government completely ****ed over this country with unnecessary fear porn of the scary virus.
Again...this was all understandable from late march. There were other reasons the hysteria was at a fever pitch.
Natural Immunity Croc
108k deaths and counting in the states, nearly 400k worldwide. There is also some compelling stats regarding elevated deaths (over previous years) pointing to it potentially being more than that. I sure hope I'm wrong, but a mixture of so many elements make it seem like we are heading toward a rough fall/winter. If you still have a job, make sure you take some time to figure out things you can do at home in case you need to make a case for keeping said job in the near future. I know many of you have probably already covered that, but just in case.
It really should. Like shutting people like you up is not a priority right now. Also, we've all seen that adding facts and research and audits, etc, in this situation and many many others in the past, rarely if ever shut people like you up. When have you, for example, ever shown that providing you with facts/evidence/whatever works to change your mind when you're wrong? Or even shuts you up?
You really haven't been more accurate. lol You are basically proving my point. There are several key factors about this situation that proves your early opinions way off base, and yet you refuse to acknowledge them and/or your previous opinions for what they are. And you won't. You don't seem to be capable of it. That's the difference between accepting something as fact and belief. I accept a ton of stuff as facts. I believe nothing. Makes it a lot easier to change your opinion when you're blatantly wrong about something.
I'm sure some are selfish. I don't think doing what they are doing necessarily makes them selfish in and of itself. Some of them (cops included) are potentially killing people, especially the rioters. Many are trying not to. The protest we just had here, for example, had 100% of the protesters wearing masks and standing a little more than 6 feet away from each other. The virus is a problem. So is police brutality. You pull over a reckless driver, you give them a ticket (perhaps worse). You pull over a reckless driver with a mortally wounded person in the car, and they are trying to get them to the hospital? Same issue on the face of it. Quite different in reality. I think you know that's the situation here in many respects.
Sounds like you're OK with 10s of thousands of people congregating during a pandemic (I am too by the way)
2 weeks ago, dozens of people congregating meant "human sacrifices" and "selfishly killing our neighbors"
It's not an easy situation. We are not in lockdown now. The protesters are also protesting a literal murder, while the other protesters were protesting wearing masks and having to stay at home. They were also treated EXTREMELY different by the police. Again...I don't think you're an idiot. You can see these are different situations that challenge principles in different ways.
