Baker just said a couple weeks and they'll re-evaluate.

Verlander just tweeted the report he's out for the season is not accurate. Hopes with some rest it will heal and he will return at some point this year.

You have to stop showing symptoms regardless of test results. Then after symptoms stop and you test negative twice, you can play

Dammit. I bet we don't finish this season.

Passan: Eight more players and two coaches with the Miami Marlins have tested positive for COVID-19, as an outbreak has spread throughout their clubhouse and brought the total of cases in recent days to at least 14, sources familiar with the situation tell me and

I don’t understand why they played last night. They had the outbreak basically confirmed, yet still went out and played. So now I guarantee some of these 8 players played last night and probably infected some Phillies. So the Phillies will need to quarantine and maybe miss games as well. Or the Phillies will play today and infect the Yankees.

This is how this season ends m

Another mandick failure. To allow the players to just casually travel about was stupid to begin with. Should have set up safe communities where every team is housed and play. If players didn’t want that then they could opt out. All baseball did was help spread this thing. Get our hopes up and then get shut down. No way we are finishing this season.

Why didn't MLB take a similar approach to the NBA and MLS, and put players in a bubble and play the games at spring training sights? Did they honestly expect this wouldn't happen?

The amount of risk being taken on for a bizarre 60 game season is pretty ridiculous. Manfred should have just called it and used the time to work on the next CBA to ensure no stoppage next season.

Pretty sure the players rejected a bubble idea.

it's also tougher on them to be in a bubble. it would be for a longer time than it is with NHL and NBA, no?

They did and it should have been pushed as a non negotiable point. Letting 1000 plus people to travel and interact with others then play a game then Repeat night after night is dumb.
