I'm still working for about 30 hours a week. Down especially in earning from what I was at. But still have an income which is nice.

We've taken the time to clean the house a lot and binge a lot of TV. I stocked some basic supplies, I think my propane may be an issue, to brew. Wihch I plan on doing a small batch this week and a big batch next week. I'm still concocting that big batch. As I have some traces of my winter ales I want to be ready to start the summer with something different.

I've been reading a healthy amount. Logging some gaming maintenance putting in about an hour a day into Animal Crossing for example.

I've been doing some light meal prepping

I want to start working on some other hobbies soon, I want to start playing instruments more seriously again. I'm at about 2 hours a month righ tnow of playing and I would like to get that back to at least half an hour a day and this would be a good time to work on that hobby.

Still working my full time job remotely. Am so sick of zoom calls I could pull my hair out.

Been watching some movies to get off my list.

Dusted off an old side business project and resumed work there.

Have read two books about options trading.

Trying every bourbon in the liquor store

    Slowly losing sanity

What were we talking about again?

The Prestige was good, Last Samurai was really good, I am Legend was also really good I thought, though the computer generated zombie/vampire (whatever the heck they were) could have been better. Didn't really care for Interstellar though I was distracted several times while trying to watch it so that might have contributed to that.

Speaking of I Am Legend, have you seen the 2 previous incarnations of that one?

Re-watched Zombieland 2, re-watched Once Upon a Time in Hollywood not too long ago, wife wants to watch The Invisible Man, I'll probably watch it with her pretty soon. Bought a copy of the last Star Wars flick. I watched in theaters but got interrupted in the middle (daughter had an issue). Not many new flicks lately, The Predator is really good, best one since Ahnold's IMO. Can't really think of anything else right now. I'll list some others if/when I think of anything worth mentioning.

I finished building a golf practice platform I started last autumn, signed up for some free online classes, including basic Mandarin Chinese (yikes), and planned out this year's vegetable garden.

Things in Japan haven't changed much so far. My classes at the hospital have been cancelled for now, but no others. The biggest change for me has been no baseball or golf to watch. I've got Paddington 2 on the ready.

I have been part of the gig economy for longer than the term has existed. One gig that I took up fairly recently is teaching an online course in macroeconomics. I can report that this endeavour has been unaffected by COVID-19. The students are turning in their work a bit faster. And I am doing my part by grading their assignments faster. One of my businesses has been greatly affected, the other hardly. I have re-oriented my thinking to looking at this whole thing as a business opportunity. Since one of my businesses does media research, I've started reaching out to various entities to see if they want to fund a comparative study of how countries and states/provinces have used the media in their messaging to the public regarding COVID-19.

On a personal level, the first week of being at home I ate way too much and exercised too little. I've re-balanced. I've watched flicks like Contagion and A Quiet Place. Been watching the latest season of The Crown. Reading book titled A Woman in Berlin. Helping my son get ready for his math regents exam. Talking to my older kids (who are bio scientists, one at the CDC) about COVID. My daughter and I have had an extensive and amusing text exchange about the need for me to discuss social distancing with my cats. As some of you might have read, cats catch COVID, including the big cats at the Bronx Zoo who have come down with it.

I think I’m working more than ever in this new work from home reality. I work in an industry that’s considered essential, however many of our customers are not, depending on the type of work they do. Between employees coming down with the virus, customer’s workforce’s coming down with the virus, and being right in the heart of it in the NYC metro area where government edicts are changing by the minute, I’m part of a team calling audibles 24/7, at least that’s how it feels.

Beyond that it’s - eat, go for a run, eat, watch movies, read, eat...I don’t hate it. Get sports back and I can do this indefinitely.

I live in the Bay Area and my COVID life typically consisted of long morning commute, work, long evening commute, eat, sleep.

I am fortunate that the company I work for is busier than ever, despite the drop in revenue (we just added headcount on our team last week). My wife and I also don’t have children, so we have it easier than most (job security and sanity).

It’s been incredible not having the 2 hours of a daily commute. I’m eating healthier and exercising more. Other than that, it’s been life as usual. Give me sports and I can tolerate the new status quo.

They sure do. How fast can it run and how high can it jump? My daughter has a hound that's about 3 or 4 years old now and it can run and jump like a deer.

Just based off comparison to me I'd say he can run at around 12mph and jump 3 feet high.

He jumps his highest after he.****s!
