Really wish MLB did a pay service like WWE Network, where you could watch archived games from years ago. WWE has almost every pay per view available from all the libraries they own. I would pay during times like this just to watch some Maddux games from his prime. J

I was hoping one of them would be the game in '97 against the Yankees where he pitched a shutout on 84 pitches. I'll never forget that one.

They're showing the 2001 game against the Brewers where Maddux struck out 14.

Took me about five minutes to remember how much I hated that team's lineup. It was Chipper and a bunch of dreck, especially early in the year.

Rico Brogna, BJ Surhoff, and the soulless body of Ken Caminiti didn’t do it for you?

We only signed Caminiti because Brogna retired midseason.

Don't forget, we had Rey Sanchez replace Fooky after he got hurt slidinginto second on a steal.

Anyone else remember the game where Caminiti was on first base as a runner, and someone hit the ball and Caminiti tried to jump out the way and the ball hit his shoe and it turned into a double play?

If only Brogna hadn’t suddenly retired...

    Freeman
    Markakis
    Brandon Phillips
    Adonis Garcia
    Tyler Flowers

Luckily once Freeman leaves we can easily find a Rico Brogna type to replace him.

2001 was the year we signed a 97-year-old Julio Franco for the stretch run and he ended up representing a huge upgrade at first base.

I'm getting flashbacks to playing the dreamcast station out in the plaza of Turner Field.

Didn't forget the Q dog but wasn't he already hurt the first month and Giles came in and hit a gamewinning grandslam?

Q was a damn good player. Can’t believe he was out of the league at 31.
