Not awful, but other NL teams would have a greater advantage in getting the DH.

Pache would however be on that taxi squad. I don't expect MiLB to play at all this year. It will be a big blow to the development of our prospects.
At this point I have serious doubts even MLB plays a season

If there was a season Pache would likely play. Ozuna moves to DH and Pache plays LF and moves to CF on days Ender has off.
If that's the case then the only option is to have the top prospects tag along and try to do some sort of intra-squad stuff as others have suggested.

I think there's a decent chance they give it a shot if they would agree to the revenue sharing idea that sounds like what the NFL does that I saw earlier today (it's rumored the players want to propose dividing revenue equally between every team for one year only, which LA and NY will likely be balky at, but I think it's probably your fairest shot at this) and if they can get enough tests.

Despite COVID still being around, it feels to me as if the former (arguing over money) is much more of a threat right now to the season.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

I think it’s about 50/50. The money is a huge issue but let’s not understate the effect of COVID. There are many players that will elect not to play rather than risk the safety of themselves or their families even if a deal can be worked out and some players have higher risk factors than others. Trout for example has already talked about not playing because of his wife being pregnant. If MLBs stars decide to sit out because they don’t need to take the risk what kind of product is MLB gonna be able to provide?

Can't imagine that's going to make any difference - ESPN is televising KBO games for crying out loud. If MLB puts ANY KIND of product on the field this summer, games will be watched (and attended if/when possible) no matter what.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

You’d be a fool then. There is a lot of risk analysis on both sides. Stars not playing will reduce interest and reenforce the idea that this is a gimmick season. Will there be some junkies who watch no matter what? Yes. Is it to MLBs ultimate advantage to shove that product out there? Outlook not so good. MLB would also really need to be positive they could carry out the season. I’ve seen no evidence that they can.

There's a whole lot more greed out there than risk-aversion.

Blake Snell has basically said he won't play this year. i doubt he's the only one.
i think if pretty much any number of players follow suit, they just won't have a season.
plus, if ONE player gets it, you probably have to shut it all down anyway.
i don't see it happening this year fellas.

He said he won't play IF the pay is too low.

"For me to take a pay cut is not happening because the risk is through the roof," he said Wednesday during a Twitch gaming session (clip posted on Twitter by MLB Network staffer John Flanigan). "I've got to get my money. I'm not playing unless I get mine, OK? And that's just the way it is for me."

I'd watch even if lots of players sit. Play without the ones that can't come to terms.

Exactly, but the only way the season is going to be played is if the union agrees to revenue sharing, so he would be sitting out. And I agree there will be many others that will sit out as well.

Where are players getting the idea that they are at significant risk? They have virtually no risk from this virus.
