The key phrase in that tweet is "identifies as." The gender identity nonsense is leaking into the racial discrimination nonsense. Once anyone can clai it we may see some friction between racial minorities and their rich white liberal allies. Everyone will start pulling an Elizabeth Warren Pocahontas act for those sweet minority benefits.

The doctor, who is in his early 30s, earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 2016 and had received his physician and surgeon license just 18 days before May 25, when Mr. Floyd was rushed to the hospital, according to state records.

    Very seasoned doctor.

At best Chauvin is guilty of negligent homicide. What he was doing was meant to inflict pain as retaliation for making the officers job a little more difficult. I feel like the "I didnt know he was dying" excuse goes out the window when theres a crowd of people standing around yelling "he's dying" and "your killing him" but he will probably do well with that excuse anyways. There is no chance Chauvin is convicted of murder. He will get as many appeals as he needs if he is convicted until they get the answer they want. We are all kidding ourselves if we think the prosecution wants a conviction. These are theatrics. The police are already salivating at the chance to beat more people up when people protest after the aquittal.

I feel like pleading this down and serving time will be best for all involved. I don't know if thats even possible but something needs to be done.

*** I don't know what the defense or prosecutions evidence presented as of yet, just a general understanding of what happened.

All I want from this is something I wont get, I want an acknowledgement that shooting cops who are engaged in a violent crime is not a crime. That they lose all protections of a police officer when engaged in a violent crime. Another example, if cops have a warrant for 201 road street and try to raid 389 road street and they get shot, thats on them, they had no warrant to enter that property. Unfortunately thats now how our laws are interpreted anymore.

I read somewhere a plea deal was reached. But DoJ nixed it. Somehow it would affect their civil rights investigation/prosecution and that gives them a veto. My memory is a little murky on this.

Here is an article on the DoJ nixing the plea deal:

    https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...eorge-n1257457

The fired Minneapolis police officer who held his knee to George Floyd's neck agreed to plead guilty to third-degree murder days after Floyd's death, but then-Attorney General William Barr rejected the deal.

"As part of the deal, officials now say, he was willing to go to prison for more than 10 years," the Times reported. "Local officials, scrambling to end the community's swelling anger, scheduled a news conference to announce the deal."

But the deal fell apart, the Times reported, citing three law enforcement officials, because Barr worried that it was too early in the investigation and would be perceived as too lenient. Barr also wanted to allow state officials taking over the case time to make their own decisions, the Times reported.

I think any plea deals should come with the requirement that he spills the beans on anything illegal going on in the police department. If nothing was going on illegal that he knew about thats fine, but if we later find out he was apart of or knew of any criminal activity within the department he should have to serve a max sentence with no parole.
