Heres a good example of systemic racism. A black woman who is a veteran ICE Agent was pulled over 3 times within a month by the same Sheriffs office without probable cause. Once they said she was driving too slow, once they said she was tailgating, and the last time they said her license plate didnt come up on file which would be amazing considering the car was rented by ICE for her. When she called her supervisor to tell them what happened they tell her its because she fits the profile as a black person in a rental car. The problem here is even if this is all exposed and we 100% know this was racial profiling and an illegal stop, the worst that would happen is the office is fired(if even that) and the taxpayer will have to pay the lawsuit. Thats just not acceptable. What good is the constitution if people can violate it and not face criminal charges? What is the incentive to stop cops from racial profiling? That they might lose their job and be rehired somewhere else? Crimes like this should carry minimum 20 year prison sentences. Only when we start sending cops to prison for violating constitutional rights will they take it seriously. There are cases where a cop is proven to have framed a person who spent 20 years in prison but only gets 4-6 months in prison. That is unacceptable. If you frame a person for a crime or torture a person into a confession they should do atleast the amount of time their victim did AND THEN start their sentence. One woman in a drug testing lab faked thousands of tests sending innocent people to prison and she got 6 months in prison and was out before all of her victims had even been released. There is no more serious crime that violating a person basic human rights. It should not be a slap on the wrist.

Should slavery and the slave trade be taught in history classes in high school and college? Though touchy and a bit of a powder keg, it's still a huge and fascinating subject. Its culture, lifestyle and lingering effects are still very much with us.

At some point it's going to be taught in schools. There are some good books that offer a lot of information and don't demonize slave owners. After all, humans are human, though not always humane.

Here's a good book. The subject of the wet nurse sub industry alone could be one whole course.

Good example right here. I think its fairly reasonable for a black man, especially in the south, in the south to be nervous around police. Yet its used against black people to create "reasonable suspicion" to search them. Aint that a bitch. They search all his **** and dont find anything. Cop calls someone and starts theorizing about bolts on the U-Haul and speculating because it looks like its had some work to it. They dont find anything. So what do they do, apologize profusely to the man they just victimized? No. They try to justify their actions to him and act like he is the bad guy for not being okay with what went on. All that searching, still not good enough, the cop accuses the guy still of having dope in the U-haul saying "we just cant get to it". The black guy tries to reason with the cop asking him what if it was his son treated like this to which the cop replies "well if only you would have acted normal". Thing is there is nothing you cant do to justify a search. Dont be nervous you say. Cops can and have used that a person was "too calm" as an excuse to search. Dont commit a traffic violation you say. Cops have used "he was driving too law abiding" to justify a stop and search. Just be friendly to cops you say. Cops have used "he waved to me" as a justification for a search. At the end of the day there are no consequences for these failed searches. Do you know why they dont keep a log of when and how often a drug sniffing dog fails to find drugs after they "alert"? Because they would be used as evidence against them to prevent them from using them to justify searches in the first place. Did you see them use a roadside drug test kit on some of his stuff? That 2$ drug kit is notoriously unreliable because its complicated to use and cops often get false positives because they did it wrong. It literally says on the box it comes in "This test is not 100% reliable and positives should be confirmed by a drug lab".



My favorite part is when the white cop says he has lived there, keep mind this is Arkansaw, and theres no racism against black people there. Suuuuure.
