Chopping With The Braves And Rolling With The Tide
I wonder how soon until we hear the Braves are changing their name?
What do we think our new name will be? It’ll likely follow that of the Hawks, Falcons and Thrashers. So maybe a bird name is next?
Ugh. I hope we don’t change our name.
This garbage has to stop. Those types will always find something to be offended by, and they're more snot nosed SJWs getting people riled up than actual Indians. If something like that would put an end to it sure, but in this climate they'll just onto the move next thing and be more emboldened thinking they've accomplished something. If they make a big deal about it, I hope we put Chief Nocahoma's teepee behind the outfield bleachers. When I was a little kid I thought that was cool at Fulton County Stadium.

I really hate it has come to this but I am resigned to it happening. Braves nor Indians is offensive in any way.
The Beaneaters is the obvious choice

The Hustlers. It’s an ode to one of the franchise’s previous names in the Rustlers, and also a reminder to all minority players of the importance of running to first base.

I can totally understand changing the Redskins. Can you imagine a team named the blackskins ???
The Braves is not derogatory in the least to me. It’s actually very positive. The Indians is borderline (although I don’t see it). I can see how a few might see that in the wrong light. I see as positive, because you would only name your mascot as something you admire or look up to. You would not name your mascot after something you hated or wanted to make fun of in the least.
