This is the Braves best lineup since 2003.

    Ronald Acuna
    Ozzie Albies
    Freddie Freeman
    Marcell Ozuna
    Yasiel Puig
    Dansby Swanson
    Austin Riley
    Travis d'Arnaud
    Ender Inciarte

    I mean that's legitimately fearsome.

I propose a nickname: The Lineup of The Gods.

More like the lineup that is extremely top heavy and highly meh 4-9. Also no way Riley plays over Camargo.

I’ll take 3-4 MVP candidates with a bunch of other above average contributors like we saw in 2019.

Plus, elite defense as a bonus.

    Ozuna is hardly "meh."
it's certainly a pretty deep lineup. who has all-stars 1-9?

the proposed nickname is obviously terrible tho.

I'm high on the Swanson train so the 1-6 is really strong with a decent 7-9, but I definitely agree that it's a good one. I think the most important thing is the depth... add in the DH and we're off.

Agreed. The DH for Ozuna is huge because Puig-Ender-Acuna is a crazy good outfield.

Ozuna has been a streaky type hitter which over 162 games will work itself out but over 60 games could be disastrous.

Or he could go on one of his huge tears, and it could be amazing.

So you guys think Donaldson + Markakis > Ozuna + Puig

    I don't know. Seems close.

I hate Markakis but JD was really ****ing good.

It's not close at all. JD by himself was way more productive than Ozuna and Puig combined.

    This is ridiculous.

Donaldson and Markakis combined hit 46 bombs and swiped 6 bags.

Puig and Ozuna combined hit 53 bombs and swiped 31 bags.

Ozuna also had a really low BABIP.

What other metrics would you like?

Donaldson and Markakis hit a combined .269.

Ozuna and Puig hit a combined .255 as Ozuna had by far the lowest BABIP of his career.

    2019 WAR:
    Donaldson 6.0 and Markakis 1.0
    Puig 0.7 and Ozuna 1.9

So yes, Donaldson was better than both of them put together. He was better than all 3 put together.
