It wont happen but i hope we use Smith as more than just a closer, like bring him in during the 6th or 7th to get out of a jam. Sometimes a game can be won then.

Isn't that, in fact, the whole plan? Hence why Melancon was announced as the intended nominal "closer" this off-season, in spring, and even (iirc) in the broadcast yesterday.

Well, Smith hasnt pitched yet so i guess we'll see. But using Smith like that is how he should be used.
