Hitting fifth, too—Snit can’t resist that warning-track power.

Probably the best option if Duvall is the guy your competing with.

Our pitchers have been good in the first 2 innings. Not getting my hopes up again

Touki has 3IP, 32 pitches, 23 strikes and 0s across board
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;......

And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

So...maybe not as much with Newk (he has had ample chances). Wright and Touki have not gotten that many starts and Touki was out because of Covid to begin. How awesome would it be if two of those guys figure it out? Remember Fried was not as consistent to begin either.

One thing about our ton of pitching prospects....what other team could lose four of its five starters and STILL run a pitcher with high end talent out every night?

I dont have confidence in Newk as a SP, never have. Wright/Touki just need chances, cant pitch in the big leagues if you dont get time to develop. May not workout but gotta go through rough patches to eventually get it.

On a different note, has the team or anyone said who is pitching for Soroka, im guessing we'll use an opener?

So remind me, when was it that AA was going to give Snit an ultimatum and make him use Markakis intelligently? It was last year, right? Or, oh yeah, when we extended him this winter. Oh, wait, no, it was when he opted back in. Yeah, that's it this time.

In the 5th spot is what it is but who else do you want there? Duvall vs a RH no, Camargo no, Flowers no, Hech no.

Touki has it all working tonight, even the quick pitch.

I keep waiting for him to turn into a pumpkin but 39 strikes of 53 pitches and one run yielded in five innings certainly gives you hope.

Touki is commanding a FA, 2 different breaking balls, and a split. His athleticism allows him to pull off that quick pitch motion when he wants to give the hitter a different look. This is peak Touki.

This is what folks envision when they dream on him.

Touki is dealing! Newk, take notes. Attack hitters and trust your stuff.
