I just don't expect it. Not sure what realistic options will be available at the deadline but that has to be filled in the offseason.

Does it make sense to give up an asset when we lost our best pitcher?

I get its a crapshoot but it almost makes more sense to just give Riley the whole season and get a full evaluation on him.

I see the same concerns everyone else does. But, both have played stellar defense so far, who would you rather have at the bottom of the order, those two or Ender/Culberson/Hech? This early, I believe I would get thru this gamble with a BA of .250 and 20-25 rbi from each of them. This coming off season 3d can be addressed with the tons of money coming off the books along with pitching, That is if there is a next season forecast.

It doesn’t make sense when we are one Covid outbreak away from a cancelled season.

The only trades I see happening are mid tier free agents that won’t get a QO that teams just want to save some money on for the rest of the year. But even the expanded playoffs are going to limit this pool of players.

I know you love your boys but Riley in particular isn't even playing at league replacement level right now. I don't know who might be available at the deadline but man it would be nice to have someone that's not below league replacement. And I don't think it should cost much of anything to acquire that type of player.

Yes, unfortunately Snit thinks the best options vs RHP are Riley and Duvall for unknown reasons. At least Riley is defensible in the sense that they may be evaluating him, but Duvall over Ender is simply inexcusable.

Snit went almost 2 weeks executing the tactical side of things, and then suddenly went off script a few days ago. His failure to pull Touki nearly cost the Braves a victory. His failure to pull Fried in time almost did the same.

It's almost like AA stopped giving him a cheat sheet when Markakis joined the team.

I think the Ender decision is coming from up top. I mean he's used Neck perfectly since he's rejoined the team which I feel many around here see as surprising.

That doesn’t make sense. If the Ender decision was coming from up top I would think he’d be DFA’d for Pache. If Ender isn’t good enough to play vs RHP he’s not good enough to be on the roster.

Ender is the only CF on roster if they want no part of starting pache clock

Playing games with no CF is not exactly the optimal defensive alignment.

Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;......

And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

The question is what exactly. If he’s hurt he needs to go on the IL. If not he needs to play. If he’s not good enough to play then he needs to be replaced.
