This season is a joke anyway. Just run these young pitchers out there every 5th day. See it they turn the corner

I think this is the off-season AA makes some trades out of the (Newk,Wright,Touki,Wilson,Ynoa) batch. Ynoa might be the only one safe this off season.

They still have plenty of talent. I mean the Marlins traded Yelich for Brinson after he had looked terrible simply on “potential”. Find the right team...maybe they can fix them, because we sure don’t seem to know what to do with them.

I’d keep Touki. The rest I’m not even sure what you could get for them. Newk has failed as a starter. Wright bombs every start. Wilson and Ynoa are bullpen pieces at best. I guess they could all be 3rd or 4th pieces in a trade though.

I don’t think we get much for them. But I could see AA overhaul the development team for these pitchers

He needs to send every last one of their a$$es (especially Newk)...to Driveline.

I think maybe Lucas sims was right about our development.

That would be my guess also, but I will day one (possibly two) of these guys will end up being a really good pitcher. It’s a crap shot for which one.

He was right because AA fired all of the talent evaluators recently that were in the system up to his first year with the Braves and I believe some of our developmental coaching too. That should tell you something.

He didn't get a shot with our newer coaches because he was out of options.

Reason why we're not seeing progress quite yet despite all of the firings?

It's hard to change an antiquated system that we had been leaning to for decades. Last year was our first year trying to change.

Best that I can say is to send every last single one of these young pitchers to Driveline over the offseason.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Fun fact... Luke Jackson 1st batters have got a hit 84 out of 89 times. Ok, I'm lying, but it has to be close

They need to bring some new blood in (Pache, Davidson), to give this team a boost. They are getting out-hustled big time. If they can’t get some pitching going, the Braves will end up with a losing record. We keep saying “At least we have Fried”, but that puts even more pressure on him to pitch a shut down game every five days.

Wright has the stuff...not sure he doesn’t need to be sent down, because that was as bad as Newk the other day.
That’s sort of a cop out, because Soroka and maybe Fried were the only safe bets going into the off season.

    Letting Julio walk was moronic.

Betting on Folty after last years weird year seems pretty dumb when you look at how quickly he was DFAd. It’s not like there weren’t warning signs and the quick movement alludes to prior frustration by the club.

Hamels would’ve been nice, but his health was always a risk.

    Newk.... godalmighty.

    Wright = see newk.

While basically everything that could go wrong, went REALLY wrong, but taking that many risks with your rotation is just bad planning.
