ow do counties that voted red in 2020 compare to counties that voted blue in terms of population growth?
    View other drafts

According to a 2021 study by the Brookings Institution, counties that voted for Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election had a higher population growth rate than counties that voted for Donald Trump. The study found that counties that voted for Biden grew by an average of 1.3% between 2010 and 2020, while counties that voted for Trump grew by an average of 0.8%.

The study's authors suggest that there are a number of factors that may contribute to this difference in population growth. One possibility is that counties that voted for Biden are more attractive to young people and immigrants, who tend to have higher birth rates and are more likely to move to new areas. Another possibility is that counties that voted for Biden have more job opportunities and a higher quality of life, which may also attract people from other areas.

The article linked , SF Chronical , states lease was up and GAP (Co) was exploring other properties.
With gentrification comes inflated property values and rent.
    It was a $$$ decision

Can confirm Mission District has undergone a great deal of gentrification. It used to have a large population from Central America (there was a Salvadoran restaurant named Platanos that i frequented). Now mainly rich techies. As the data show it has become a richer safer albeit less flavorful neighborhood.

Good. Everyone is leaving because it's too rich and amazing.

This is the best chance conservatives have against the communists is their retarded ability to diagnose their shortcomings

The diagnosis is not complicated. A housing shortage (and more acutely an affordable housing shortage) brought on by overly restrictive permitting laws and regulations. NIMBYism run amok. Plus more recently the tech industry larging sticking with work from home unlike other industries.

With respect to homelessness, there is a balance to be struck between respecting the autonomy of people at the margins of society and requiring standards of behavior in the public square. The pendulum swings back and forth on that and is shifting back toward greater regulation with respect to what is permitted in public settings.

it has never struck me as a particularly good political strategy to accelerate deaths among your most loyal voters.

Maybe it can explain why they set up in the people's Republic of California in the first place. It didn't just start being a hellhole 3 years ago.

Bard won't ever be able to confirm... but the lockdowns very clearly drove a large amount of people into madness

and what mechanism propelled those bullets across that street ?

Suppose like in Japan/Australia or most anywhere else in the civilized
world that mechanism was not available ?
One would have to carry those bullets across said street
    in one's pocket
then throw them at the target/adversary
