Someone please explain why they need an umpire running the replay booth in New York. The calls that are reviewable could be judged by someone watching a game for the first time. They put more emphasis on protecting their brothers in blue than on getting the calls right.

I’m not sure anything in baseball makes me more furious than an obvious missed call not being overturned on replay.
