    Verdugo is pretty good.

If it meant JRam then I’d include Pache. Ramirez is more of a difference maker and would be controllable for 3 more years.

Downs was a top 5 easily...his power #s in the minors were off the charts....

The thing with the Dodgers is their scouting and development is so fckn good you don’t notice a top prospect missing because they replace them with another too tier talent. They are the cream of the crop in that department.

Oh and it helps things that they have a $300m a year TV deal where ours is what? $20m?

The debate wasn't whether the trade was worth it (it was, I'd say); it was whether they've traded anyone of value from their system (they have).

    I wouldn't.

However, given the progression of the offseason, and specifically what Cleveland has done heretofore, I'd think they'd take a little more quantity to compensate for the downgrade from Pache to Waters.

Hector Gomez - who called Ozuna back to Atlanta - to Peter Moyal on Twitter: It's a great honor for me Peter. I hope the Braves can get Jose Ramirez as well. He would be a perfect fit for the team.

He said in another comment that Atlanta is interested in a trade for him. Again, could be here-say, but he did call the Ozuna get tonight.

If we somehow traded for JRam, this offense would probably be on par with the 2003 team.

Best offense in baseball with J-Ram. Not even the Dodgers could beat that.

I don’t see JRam as a possibility. If Riley goes back then who is your eventual 3rd baseman down the road. I know that would be 3 years away but do we have anyone coming up for that role.

But man that would be a legit team for 3 years running. Plus you would probably have the DH for 2 of them. Just a killer lineup.

Who cares? The team would have three years to figure that out. Plus: in three years, Riley will be costing real money he probably won’t be worth. Double plus: who cares? Riley has value, but his absence in favor of a (far) superior player is not worth sweating.

Agree. If we can cash in Riley and Waters for another big bat with control, I’d do it in a heartbeat.

Ozuna tweeted about finding a home. Maybe that was it for him. He wanted years bc he wanted stability. So he got stability and generational wealth, just less money overall.

I love the deal. It’s not without risk but I love it. I’ll have to remind myself if that when he bungles around the of.

I would like a lh pinch hit bat. Joyce? Choo? Bruce?

    Melacon back at 4-5 million.

    Flowers at 1 million?

I still think reds 3b Suarez is more realistic.

I would too. That three year window would be insane. I was just wondering aloud if something like that would play into a GM’s thought process. Having to fill a position vis FA is not ideal. Having some sort of internal fall back is nice.

No on flowers. Love him but I think Contreras is going to out perform TDA this year. Maybe not total numbers because he won’t have the same chance. But effectiveness he will be right up there.

    I think you are right

The case for flowers is for 1 million you let Contreras play every day. You get another year of control. Plan to bring Contreras up last half of the year.

How bout Derek Dietrich or marwin Gonzalez? Wouldn't their LH bat be a good fit?
