Well that isn’t a good article. So a washed up reliever who can’t hit 90 on his fastball will get a shot in our pen because his slider might be good and we don’t have any better RH options. GREAT.

I mean, it said he was living in the low 90s last year so obviously he can hit 90. Last year was his first stint back after major surgeries... he's got a lot of potential if he can come in at 100% and stay healthy

Hope springs eternal, but when I see "shoulder surgery," it makes me skeptical. I'm old, and in an earlier era, the rule-of-thumb was a player was through if it was an elbow injury, but they could recover from a shoulder injury. With advancements in Tommy John surgery, it seems it's the opposite now. I hope for the best.

It was from an article that was called intriguing prospects that aren't prospects anymore or something.

Some obscure names that had maybe been forgotten about coming back.

Ifs and buts were candy and nuts oh what a Christmas we would have.

I am not pulling against the guy. Just saying that wasn’t a great blurb imo. He needs a good slider but was horrible in winter leagues as of a few months ago. Just saying I would not count on him personally. Those other options listed seem more plausible than this guy. We will see. But when an articles strongest argument in your favor is He is already on the 40 man so he will get a chance. That is not ringing endorsement

Yeah. I get the point of the article. Just didn’t seem they did a good job of giving us hope. Like 50 said shoulder injuries are tough. Ryu is an example of someone over coming it. But it took years and he still isn’t like he was.

Yeah - makes no sense if looking at things objectively. We've seen the argument more than enough times though.

That's probably the demarcation line for good vs. bad when it comes to corporate ownership and rebuilds though. The corporate group is going to do whatever's best for the bottom line the quickest and will treat the players as commodities. Just have to think they will make the mistake of needing to be blown away for Gallo after they botched the way they handled Lynn.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Crap. The Twins have moved their AAA team to St. Paul and I was hoping to catch a few games of the Twins' prospects this summer.

Just trying to figure out where "the guy can't hit 90" comment came from when it clearly stated he was sitting in the low 90s

Agreed about shoulder issues... it certainly kills more careers than TJS... I don't know anything about his specific shoulder issue. Some are very recoverable, though... like the case with Mike Minor... didn't he have shoulder issues?

Of course we just signed the real difference maker of the off season... Guillermo Heredia claimed off waivers from the Mets

Assuming this is about Tomlin, I agree: he shouldn’t have been given a guaranteed deal.

So, what if he can’t hit 90. Either way he’s probably a nothing burger.

Unfortunately I am serious; he even has a team option for 2022.

This was certainly the most egregious move of the off-season.

Really don't understand this one - yes he has an option, but will draw $1 million even if he's playing in Gwinnett.

I don't either... I think Ervin is a better option

The Bench in 2021: Lamb, Alex Jackson, Ender, and the Island of Misfit Toys

Claiming all of these OF has me legit worried the plan is for Ender to play CF vs RH, move acuna into CF and one of these chumps to RF vs LH and send Pache to AAA.

I really hope its Contreras instead of Jackson (but maybe Contreras will start in AAA because of service time also?)
