It’s horrifying that she died, but I still disagree with the border policies under Trump and am in favor of more permissive immigration policies. Prosecute people who harm others and punish them accordingly.

Her and other lives have been lost for his handling of the border. But you are fine with it

No, because I also care about the migrant children who might suffer and die if turned away. I don’t value American lives over non-American lives, and while I wish that child were alive today, I’m not going to let the actions of 2 criminals dictate my thoughts on immigration as a whole.

If the border would be closed, they wouldn’t be in jeopardy in the first place. They woulda stayed home or tried to enter legally

There are plenty of people coming here for which this isn’t a safe and viable option. Many are in jeopardy to begin with, which is why they try to enter.

I don't understand this sort of thinking at all. Borders are important. And we aren't the only developed country that tries to maintain a tough border policy. Why would anyone support open borders? It 100% leads to higher crime, higher taxes, and higher inflation.

There are dozens of nations around them they could migrate to easily. ****, many of them migrate THROUGH Mexico just to get here. So that isn't a valid point.
