I guess we’re just at a point where I’m not willing to condemn angry or violent rhetoric more strongly than the actual killing of tens of thousands of innocent Gazans.

I'm more concerned with radical Islam kept to a minimum in this country.

Yes, innocent Gazans dying isn't a good thing but Hamas is causing this, not us.

lol, I love that the response to a terror attack should get to be indiscriminate genocide instead of actually holding Israel to a standard of minimizing civilian casualties.

Russia has killed about the same or fewer Ukrainians trying to take over the country in 2 years as Israel has killed defending itself from a terror attack.

They are trying to minimize casualties. Do you realize Israel could annihilate all of Gaza if they were genocidal madmen?

Finding a moral equivalency with a Western democracy like Israel to a terrorist organization is ridiculous.

If the rest of the world would protest Hamas instead of Israel in this conflict the world would be a much better place. Unfortunately, anti-Semitism has reared its ugly face.

There are two primary parts where I disagree with you:

1) I agree Israel is holding back compared to what they could do. But somewhere the line had to be drawn between turning Gaza into glass and doing nothing because of civilian casualties. My belief is they have drawn that line further than can be morally justified. At some point, your “efforts” to minimize collateral damage become empty gestures and I feel we’ve passed that point.

2) I think if you’re going to take the positive perception of being a more civilized government, you cannot then fail to hold that nation to a much higher standard. You can’t just argue Hamas is willing to kill Israelis because they’re evil but excuse Israel killing innocent people at a much more startling pace because they’re not evil. If you’re better than the terrorists, prove it by showing mercy to the civilians.

You don't beat the bad guys by being "better" than them. You beat them by getting the job done and it might not be pretty.

I hear this nonsense from leftists all the time and all it does it tell the enemy you're weak and you invite more attacks in the future. Israel has shown restraint in the past by listening to the international community and what did it get them?

Thank God we didn't have this attitude during WWII. We were absolutely brutal to the civilian populations in Germany and Japan because we had to take out their factories and their ability to make war. We had to do it or we wouldn't have beaten the Axis Powers.

You might not like it as a rebuttal but the fact is that "peaceful" protest was just another anti-Semitic rally that would have turned bad if the wrong people showed up.

Gaza needs to thank our dirty boots that we didn’t let Israel just wipe them off the map. At some point , if Israeli kids have to live in fear of being bombed or killed, then I have no problem with them getting what’s coming.

I don’t think this is fair. If you can’t point to violence committed at this rally, you can’t just say it would have turned bad. Under this logic you could never protest Israel on any grounds. Palestinian-Americans have a right to express their displeasure with their tax dollars being used to pay for Gaza to be turned to rubble.

I’m not going to diminish any loss of life in Israel to acts of terror, but it has never once been the case that Israeli kids had anywhere near as much to worry about daily as Palestinian kids have from the other side.
