Can you tell me? He wrote a book, and criticized Trump back in the day.

Your track record of falling in love with rhetoric is a cautionary tale
Authenticity matters. Senator is a different job than Gov. could argue that Trump started both of their careers really. I’m putting my money on Vance actually understanding and caring about the issues that are important to the future of this country.
I suspect he will be a runaway for the 2028 nomination.

In sturgs world people aren’t allowed to change. What a strange world to live in. But I do guess it’s ok to find Christ overnight and scream about “false religions” pretending to be authentic.
They failed at two assassination plots already. Maybe third times a charm!

Kamala has been an unimpressive VP. I think it's not her fault, because Biden has been an unimpressive president. But I expected her to be the face of the Admin and clearly polls indicated that wasn't the right move and they leaned into it.
I think it needs to be someone outside of the admin if they want a slam dunk win. Kamala vs. Trump is an interesting debate but like Biden it's largely a coin toss that goes some ways some times some ways the other. That being said I don't see a strong leading dem now. Newsom is ehh, coupled with the baggage that his ex wife is Trump Jr's fiance that will be ugly for dems. I think the one who could be a spicy take would be Whitmer. She's polling really well in Michigan and could carry the Rust Belt.
Dems are in trouble this election cycle but have some options in 2028 that are interesting. I would be shocked if ANdy Beshear doesn't start a campaign here in a bit if Trump wins to be the next dem candidate. HE's relatively young (46) and seems cut from that mold that he's kind of liberal but will pull republicans who don't like Trumpers.
