2024 Field

Again - zito is a guy who got bailed out of life by his GF daddy and still to this day thinks Covid was of natural origin.

If you want to debate these facts you're welcome to come visit and say it to my face. I've been open about everything online. I have nothing to hide unlike you. Have you even left your basement in a decade?

Question the source if you will, but anecdotally those numbers don’t look crazy.

The media headline reactions to Trump and Harris announcing their “no tax on tips” policies are a perfect encapsulation of the media climate right now.

The no tax on tips thing is stupid. It's only being done to get more money into social security because they're just exempting you from income tax. They're trying to get the people who're underdeclaring tips now to declare them so they can add to payroll tax. It's a big stupid plan, and it will never pass because of 2 reasons.

1. It benefits a niche group that is already vilified by many in America

2. The people on the ground in the industry don't want it because it's going to lead to resentment and lower tips.

The big wigs of course want it (Restaurant Associations) because they can use it to promote getting new workers. But really, if you work in a good spot and have a good work ethic and decent social skills you should be able to make a decent living as a server.

Yeah - and your life story tells us that your evaluations are worth less than nothing.

This completely ignores the whole point which of course you can’t acknowledge since you aren’t living in reality

That's completely irrelevant to the point being made about how the media's reaction to no tax on tips is blatantly biased for Harris.

I agree it’s a bad idea, but that wasn’t the point I was making…

When Trump announces it, the CBS News headline includes the 10 year, $250 projected cost from a nonpartisan organization.

When Harris announces it, the same CBS News organization reports it without that cost projection, instead choosing to include Harris’ vow to fight for service and hospitality workers.

It’s blatant media bias

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Again you're welcome to come up here and tell me everything you feel to my face. Some of us have **** we do that doesn't involve spending most of the day on the internet falling into wormholes. You act like you're some kind of unimpeachable factoid. I can go into any thread and find something you're wrong about because you're wrong all the damned time. You take the automatic machine gun approach to bull****, you say everything you read and believe and get excited when out of the 100 bullets you fired a few of them hit the mark.

I mean I don't really care enough to focus on what they say but the headline I see is

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/kamala-harris-taxes-on-tips-trump-proposal/

"Harris backs ending taxes on tips, echoing Trump proposal"

I guess that means you have to look into the headline of the Trump, but if you're a liberal you'd probably be given pause that Harris and Trump agree on something tax related.

IF you do some digging (I know it's not everyone's favorite thing) Harris's was reported on Politics while the one about trump and the costing 250 billion is from Money Watch, and economics blog. I would expect slightly different headlines if Fox Business were to report something than Fox News.

Word is RFK is about to drop out and support Trump.

Would be a big shift based on what the polling is showing us now.

I'd say probably 60/40 or 70/30 RFK voters break Trump.

So tweets are articles?

Even ignoring that and taking that at face value, how does it change what I said?

One is from Politics one is from money. If you think they should have posted Kamala's in money or Trump in politics, OK. But rarely do they talk about it.

I don't find the headline of the one about Kamala to be glowing either. It's not negative, but should it be? It should have mentioned Trump has the same policy position. Or similar. There's probably some differences I don't care about.

The mainstream media is in the tank for (D) to keep Trump out at all costs. It’s only burst of objectivity was post-debate, but that was in service of getting Biden out of the race, not a come to Jesus moment for fairness, as seen by its behavior since he dropped. It’d be nice if everyone could stop pretending otherwise…it is what it is.

You could feel everyone get optimistic. There was even some self reflective monologues at times from the media. You wanted to feel like a new page had turned, and all it took was stabbing that old bitch outta the race for them to start cleansing the internet and old articles for Harris, because shes a woman of colors.

To this day pandering to her ideas like they are actually GOOD is amazing material in of itself.
