I do not support Tik Tok but just as I'm pramgatic on things like abortion measures hurting our long term cause I believe Tik TOk is helping Trump get elected right now. So strategically I am now fine with Tik Tok and then when Trump wins rip it ouit of teh CCPs hands.

Social Media is the most powerful tool ever created. Countries can absolutely acheive their goals through its control and the CCP is doing exactly that.

Oh don't worry - When Trump wins I'll be right back to pushing to get Tik Tok pulled out of the CCP's hands.

But as you know the bill that was proposed was a back door way to silence Musk. Your TDS just prevents you from seeing it.

There is nothing wrong with TikTok. Certainly not anything worse than other forms of social media. But at least on TikTok I can find out about current events that the national news doesn't care about (at least until it goes viral on Tik Tok) I can't tell you how many times I've watched developing stories on tik tok that took 2-3 days for the National Media to pick up on, and it was only because the videos went viral.

Tik Tok is bad because of the CCP's control and how they can alter the algorithm to push their directives.

The hope for me is that Musk revolutionizes X so that Tik Tok isn't as required for young people.

But right now its helping Trump win so it must be leveraged.

The people that don't see are the same ones that close their eyes to abortion measures being shot down in very conservtaive states.

well having principles and values and not selling them out for pennies is a trait I hope I can pass on to my children and anyone else I can influence.

You frequently bemoan how Republicans and leftists and DC have "sold out." I'd hate to do that myself!

Hopefully a Trump win will allow you to find your previous values and you can obtain them again, and hopefully you won't remain so angry and bitter after you win that power you crave - thousands of slaughtered babies is a small cost to pay.

Yes. It is an alternative venue for disseminating news and entertainment. The bipartisan push to kill it is a scandal.

IG seems to be mostly recipes for cooking dogs and cats lately. So I understand your perspective. (I know you will be interested to know my daughter is offering her dog for thanksgiving dinner).

Everyone is selling something on IG nowadays. Tik Tok started turning that way over the last 12 months. Scrolling on both is like one big continuous Ad.

X has a lot of bots, but it's the best source of current, unbiased news and discourse on the market.
