GDT 9/30/24: Braves vs Mets - DH Game 1

I wouldnt be surprised to see SS go 7 innings. He aint gonna be available in WC round anyways so we need him to eat these innings. Winning game 1 is critical.
 
The Braves will have to score more than 3....I don't think Spencer will be sharp today...this will be the biggest game of his young career and he's very young.
 
Mets have seen Schwellenbach now 3 times. Feels like this is when their offense finally gets something going against him while our offense sucks and we lose.
 
Ozzie looks like he isn't squaring back up on his swing. He is almost stepping out of the batters box when he swings. I don't remember his swing as a righty looking like that, but maybe it has.. IDK
 
I really question myself pulling for the playoffs. This team makes me sick to my stomach. It would be so much better for this trainwreck to just end. If it does, start batting practice tomorrow
 
Megill has been pretty good for a month or so. really mixing his pitching but not walking as many.. so the hitters need to actually have a plan to attack a certain pitch.
 
Mets went without marte bc they have megill going. Said he wanted his best defenders. Apparently megill is much better than the guy tonight

Playoffs is better than no playoffs, even if they fall flat on their face (which they do so often). I hear though. This team is difficult to watch.
