GDT 10/2/24: Braves @ Padres - WC Game 2 - Gotta Win to Survive

I sort of hope they lose 30-2.

Kind of nuts - the Braves lost in the NLDS 8 times in a row and we lost a one game WC playoff. That was 9 straight 1st round exits. We then made it out in COVID a season I barely count, and then of course the WS. Since then, 2 NLDS exits in a row and assuming this holds, a WC loss.

So that is 1-10 in the NLDS; and two wild card round losses in our last 13 playoff appearances. I just can't count covid, it was a 60 game BS season, we played the freaking Marlins in the 1st round. So overall we are effectively 1-12 in our last 13 postseason 1st rounds. I am not even making any conclusions on that given entirely different eras. More just shocking to have that bad of a run. Even if random, the odds of that are just so low

I was shocked to turn the game on an hour late to see the offense is limp again.

And Fried came up small it seems.

Told yall Olson tweaked his swing. Maybe espn can be the Braves new hitting coach since they point out things that aren’t working that apparently the Braves are too stupid to see.

He got out of an unlucky jam in the first after he got hit by a line drive. Was probably hurt in the 2nd when he gave up 6 straight two out hits.

2022-2024 the braves are 2-8. You can take any 3 consecutive playoff appearances in brave history, and that's the worst winning %... the years don't have to be consecutive (I. E. 2005, 2010, and 2012 is 2-7.
