Also - A RB is a finishing piece of a team so teams that are in the top 10 to get the truly elite back sucks so bad you are just wasting the RB.

I think thats among the worst way to build a team that I can think of. A RBs shelf life is typically less than 5 years, why in the world would you sign them? For example, Saquon wanted a big deal, the Eagles signed him to a 3 year deal, he's almost certainly not going to be worth in it year 3 and maybe not in year 2. I wouldn't put it past him to drastically slow down as this season goes along. Hes at an age where RB production falls off the charts so slight chance he produces well throughout the year and a slim chance he's productive in the the future.

I wouldn't have signed Henry either but hes producing at the moment. Its possible he has some Adrian Peterson type career arc but those are few and far between.

The number of poor first round RB choices is much longer.

Henry has already signed an extension, he's on his 3rd contract.

Saquon behind that line will be worth it all the years of his contract.

Giants also got amazing value out of Saquon, they had him for 6 years and payed him just over 40M. That's great value even with the joke of a team the Giants were. Similar to Jacobs, Raiders paid him like 23M over 5 years.

When you take a RB later, you are hedging your bets. But I don't think it's bad to take one. I wouldn't take one super high, I think the Falcons were in a unique situation because they were basically on the other end of a rebuild.

Kirk really is Matt Ryan reincarnated. Extremely easy to root for. But you’re always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Should be 5-0 or maybe 0-5.

Going to be a very very weird season.

No team they faced is bad, according to DVOA we've faced the 3, 8, 9, 14, and 21 team. Eagles are a bit low IMO in DVOA right now because they also have had a brutal schedule with the good NFC South Teams and the Packers, they could easily win their next 4 games as the Browns have seem to gone full ass, @ Giants should be a walk, @bengals is winnable but tough, and Jacksonville at home should be a gimme.

I think we have 4 winnable games before the bye, if we're 7-4 at the bye we'll be in a good place because we come out of that with Chargers @Minn, @Raiders, Giants @Commies, Panthers. That's basically 4 wins there if they can't get 4 wins, then they deserve the pain coming their way.

Henry is a unicorn at his size. Much like AP. He's just too hard to be arm tackled. CBs/Safeties mostly stand no chance 1 on 1.

I don't see amazing value from Barkley. Not only did he help the team to absolutely nothing but he had 2 great years in NY. He had another pretty good year. He had 1 year of nothing. He had 1 year of very poor play. A running back on a poor team (drafting top 5) is pointless.

I think Bijan could be a very good player. But,t he Falcons would be in much better shape if they went after premium positions instead of Robinson and Pitts and then got another QB to be a backup.

I can't defend the Pitts pick, I tried to back then even though Sewell was the one I wanted. But that was a baffler especially since QBs went 1-2-3 that draft so you had the best WR and best OT and best Edge on the board. Falcons would have either Sewell, Chase or Micah and any of them would be a huge upgrade over Pitts.

But look after the Bijan pick, who would you have taken over him? Even with hindsight. Maybe Jalen Carter, but he's not elite. I woudln't have hated Skonski but he's an undersized tackle. Van Ness looks like a scrub, etc
