GDT #27: 5/1/14 Braves at Marlins

Here is another Fredi fail.

It's clear to everyone (including Fredi) that Walden is our best non-Kimbrel pitcher. But since it's not the 8th inning, Fredi refuses to use him. Even though we're talking about 3-4-5 for Miami and literally the game on the line

He is such a bad in-game manager. I am at the point where I don't even care. He is going to make bad in-game decisions on a regular basis for years to come. Just have to get used to it.

Just like what Joe just said about the Marlins

" It's amazing how well the team hits at home and doesn't on the road".

Embarrassing. ..lol we get swept by the Marlins what a effing joke. We all knew that the issues with the lack of hitting would catch up to us because there was no way the starting pitching was going to continue giving up less than 2 runs per game. No May flowers for us because unless a miracle happens with this offense we maybe in for a long summer.

Yea: it's just a annual built-in weakness we'll have to tolerate.

Justin's crappy defense played a big part in that inning. And neither Thomas or Carpenter made a pitch when they needed to.

This team has some serious issues that are finally coming full circle and were masked early on by superb pitching.

But hey, I was just being negative, right?

Terrible offense

Terrible defense at key positions

Unreliable bullpen

Terrible in game manager

The only way we will consistently win series if our starting pitching is unreal and going deep into games because this offense wouldn't be able to muster runs in a game started by Shane Reynolds and closed out by Dan Kolb.
