But was it really though? I don’t actually think the Marko stuff is a big deal. My sole opinion on the matter is that it was perfectly acceptable journalism to report on his pseudonymous Twitter account and that it seems like a weird move politically to have the VP weigh in by hand-waving explicit racism from a few months ago by a 25-year-old as some mistake by a naive child.

While I sincerely hope we continue to fund initiatives to help other people, it’d be a great time to start really, really shaming the liberal rich people crying about it to just fund it themselves for now.

While I am obviously casting a broad net and there are a lot of people who do tremendous, wonderful things with their wealth, a vast majority of the super-wealthy should be shamed mercilessly by the left for not giving directly to ensure the hungry are fed and whatnot. We get all of these great messages of support for causes, but seemingly very little transfer of wealth from the people promoting it in public to the needy. I can’t expect conservatives to take these concerns genuinely when the same people who are getting viral posts shaming the government for it will happily pocket any tax cuts and not make any meaningful difference.
