4/16: strider is back

Not watching, why did we send Strider out for the 6th inning to throw 100 pitches in his return from elbow surgery?

This would be a lot more effective if Lopez wasn’t done for the year. Elder doesn’t still suck and AJSS has already been sent down. Soroka is dealing with a bicep strain and is much more likely to return than Lopez.

But keep tooting the AA horn. Maybe Murph will hit another homer in a couple weeks and you can come back and say ‘see I was right’.
None of that would’ve made singing an oft-injured pitcher for $9m smart for a cash strapped team, but when you gotta whine you gotta do it I guess

Can you quote who said that
I'm mostly poking fun at the folks who insisted on arguing semantics over the procedure as if it were at all relevant in terms of risk to the rotation. Strider blew up his elbow twice, and had it rebuilt twice. No matter what folks think they know about the procedures, or what they read about the procedures, or what someone said is different about this procedure, the fact remains his elbow has been repaired twice and there was major risk he wouldn't bounce back. Any "yeah but what about the brace blah blah blah" is pure stupidity.

The other facts that remain: Lopez was dealing with shoulder issues in 2024, and Sale was dealing with back issues at the end of the season. That's massive risk in all of the top 3 SPs in the rotation, meaning the overall rotation risk was through the roof. And yet...nothing was done to address it. Now...Sale is struggling, Strider's velocity is down, and Lopez is out.

Every single high risk scenario that was easily identified by peasants on a message board have now come to pass, which solidifies this as the worst offseason in the AA era, and perhaps the last 3 decades.

Tomorrow is a day off. Fire snit! This start is unacceptable. Whether you think they'll turn it around or not, fire him anyway. He's a terrible decision maker, and you have a shot to get rid of him. Take it. Take it. At least make the most of this opportunity.

Who knows maybe sending that buffoon out to the pasture will light a fire under this garbage bunch of players

How fitting for Hoffman to finish it up. AA, put down the Oreos and pizza a minute to watch another big miss by you.

I made the mistake of having this going on the office flatscreen for the last three hours. Not getting any work done on top of 18ks. Time for most improbable rally against hoffman

Why are the Braves cash strapped. They have record attendance and a cash cow with the Battery. AA wanted to reset the tax and lied about spending.

But I would still be hopeful of Soroka pitching right about now over the absolutely nothing AA did to help this team. 10 million is nothing in todays game. He spent 25+ million to acquire JK. It didn’t work. Move on. Soroka might never pitch again. But at least he would have tried something.
