TRHLIM

I’m cool with this and all given my political leanings, but doing socialism to “unleash capitalism” seems a bit contradictory.

Also, as a finer point, wouldn’t the government giving every new child a $1,000 stock portfolio just inevitably lead to an inflationary effect that dilutes the value of those shares? I already get squeamish when it comes to programs with direct monetary handouts such as the COVID stimulus program because I find them less effective than targeted aid for those in specific need of something. Tying it to stock buys doesn’t seem to help that at first glance for me.

I’m breathing. In general it should be assumed anything I’m posting in this thread is intended to make fun of conservatives, not to signify any belief that the nation is in some sort of peril. In this case I still just find it endlessly funny that there’s a conservative effort to get existing artists to change their political views instead of just finding different art to consume. It’d be like me complaining that a Matt Walsh film was too politically charged.

Do you think there is any distinction between an always citizen (hundreds of thousands call to kill Trump) versus a former head of the FBI?

I remember 10 months ago when the media was responsible for inspiring Trump assassination attempts because they played too fast and loose with charged rhetoric.

If you can’t find how silly it is for JP to whine about seashells saying the same message he proudly put on his own timeline then not sure how productive this conversation is going to be.

So then your answer there is no distinction between a citizen and the former head of hte FBI calling for it.

Just was curious as to what your answer would be.

I hold James Comey to a higher standard and I find his post irresponsible and disqualifying from holding public office.

But I don’t need these outrage merchants like Jack to fan the flames and call for private citizens arrests.

Outrage merchants. These people only care about poisoning your brains and getting rich off it

What I've observed about the Trump influencer cult was that at one time.. around 2015-2018... they were legit, honest seeking, well-meaning right wing pundits trying to do what they could to expand their ideology and take down leftism.

This drew a larger audience (heck, I used to follow many of them), and they began getting more influential. Once there they got more influence, the money started to come in. Once the money started to come in, they fell in line.

This is why today they cheer on price control and tax increases. They aren't independent thinkers anymore... just a paid army to push the trump agenda

But he said he doesnt support violence against anyone. So that makes anything else he says ok right?

PS - And since I know I need to explain this to the derp patrol before they deliberately take my words out of context. Its a trick question because he claims because Trump said "peacefully" once that absolves him of inciting violence. So the same must be true for Comey.

obviously there are numerous examples... this one just popped up

Whatever article starting with Ice Barbie can safely be ignored Cajun
To be fair, it’s a pretty solid and accurate burn. While performative bullshit is nothing new to politics, she sure has done a lot of weird cosplaying since taking the role.

That said, I’d read a similar article and while it is true that someone is engaged with DHS on this horrifying abomination of a show, the only link I’ve seen to Noem is anonymous.

I personally don’t see why, even if you disagree with the science behind it, it’s controversial to consider intentionally dead-naming or mis-gendering a person as discriminatory in nature. I don’t have to understand or agree with another person to give them the dignity of just addressing them as their preferred name or pronoun. We do it with married women, Popes, people with nicknames because they don’t like their given names, etc.

I do think the issue of what entails a violation of Colorado’s Anti-Discrimination Act or what the punishment is for violating it is worth questioning but merely adding this to the existing law isn’t itself bad. So I don’t think you should be jailed for misgendering someone, but I also don’t think you should be jailed for using a slur. Having the two be considered the same just doesn’t feel like an issue in itself.

Looking this up it appears to be about custody battles. It equates misgendering or deadnaming with beating them. Which is retarded. I have so many questions. Like who decides their gender? A parent can influence what the kid says but I bet parents who push their kid to be trans wont be treated like parents who try to influence their kid not to be trans. I will support their right to be trans....when they turn 18....with their own money. If I was a kid in school today I wouldnt even acknowledge their existence simply because I am not navigating that minefield. If its a teacher I would simply talk to them as little as possible and avoid pronouns all together. I think I would be expelled the first time someone asked me what my pronouns are because my response will always be "if you dont know then dont talk to me".
