If I can counter to Zito's post, I will say that it's been going on longer than a year. The downward spiral of that board has been going on for quite some time actually.

The hey days were easily 2002-2005. Everything post 2008 has been meh, with the big names only showing up for big games and announcements.
 
I know it's been going downhill for a long time, but it's gotten super bad in the last year. We at least had some good times then things really went to hell after the braves lost in the playoffs.
 
The board was fine before. It went to hell when PD took over. That guy is a complete D-bag. I always thought he was a bit odd on Bill's late night talk shows. Just a disgusting dirty old man.
 
I think it crashed and burned after Bill left. It was getting bad before then but that was the final blow. Having Patio take over was the worst decision anyone has ever made. As much as I dislike Bill he did do a good job running that website.

Sometimes I just hung up because him and Bill dominated the conversation.

No you were fine. I didn't care for the the group sessions because it was hard to know when to jump in. I also didn't like it when the topic turned away from baseball, usually I'd just leave at that point.

The board went to hell when Bill got the radio gig and he got a big head. After that he became more insufferable than normal and started BANHAMMERING people for disagreeing.

And the whole kiddie board v premies culture he created didnt help
 
Yikes. Too bad he's still actively keeping folks from knowing about this board. It's pretty obvious that virtually nobody likes that board now.
 
My ability to post was revoked. I guess patio is hoping that the people who continually lurk over there is enough traffic to keep his job.
 
463 views from folks stopping by today's GT, but nobody posted. Plenty of new topics were posted recently with hundreds and hundreds of views. Lot of reading going on. I spend my time on twitter.

5 doesn't divide into 463. In fact 2 doesn't either.

Now if you were using 2/5 and wanted to convert to a percent, well then that's 40% and we all know that is about 185 people. :cooter:
 
It's up to some of the new guys to bring the rest of the posters over here. Most of us that have been here for a while now are banned.
