Stop normalizing gender dysphoria as anything but a mental illness that needs corrective treatment. This is one that’s obvious once the politics are removed. It’s always been known as mental illness. It changed when too many psych grads had been too politicized and some people saw an opportunity to add a whole letter’s worth of voters to the alphabet crowd. It’s not loving or kind to lead people further into delusions instead of correcting them and helping them rejoin reality. “Jimmy, you’re not a woman trapped in a man’s body. You’ll never be Jenny instead. Let’s talk about what could be happening to make you feel that way so we can address it and help you be comfortable in your body, instead of screwing up your hormones, making you look ridiculous, dramatically increasing your likelihood to commit suicide, and replacing your genitals with a wound that will literally never heal.”
