That was a horrible return for probably the best football player in football, entering his prime. You realize 2 first were given for Joey Galloway, lol? Or what the return was for Khalil Mack? We are talking about back end of the round picks as well, not premier selections (in all likelihood)
 
Its funny that all the good teams are in the same divisions. AFC North, maybe AFC West, NFC East, NFC North

The AFC East is comical with the Jets, Dolphins, and Pats. The AFC South might be the worst division ever...excpet when you look at the AFC South. NFC West might be decent.

To be fair Khalil Mack is a decent comp to Micah, though Micah is younger and IMO more dominant than Mack, mack was 2 time AP1 and DPOY before the trade. But I'd argue the big difference is there's a chance the bears could give you a top 15 picks, the Packers haven't picked outside of the 20s a ton.

I don't think the trade was truly horrible from a value point. The stupid part was getting to this point, they should have extended him last year not wait. Same with Cee Dee, same with Dak. WHen you wait, you spend more money. It's simple economics and Jerry is a fucking moron.

It's not uncommon for this to happen. In the early 2010s the NFC South was super great when you have Ryan, Cam, and Brees in the division.

AFC East has kind of been a joke for 2 decades. The Pats ran that show and when the Bills started getting good the Pats turned to shit.

Remember it wasn't that long ago the NFC East was a joke, when y'all won the division at 9-7?

Joey Galloway? You're really bring up a trade from 25 years ago to prove your point?

Mack was traded WITH a 2nd and 7th in exchange for two 1sts, a 6th in the current draft, and a 3rd in the following draft. And that was a trade the Bears got drug through the coals by the media for making. Also, while the Bears picks would likely have been projected to be a lot higher, they went 12-4 and 8-8 immediately after the trade, so they ended up not being premiere picks. The Raiders essentially got a 1st and 3rd rounder for Mack, and the value from moving a 2nd rounder to a 1st rounder and a 7th to 6th. Looking at the value chart for draft picks, the Cowboys made out a bit better than the Raiders did (since future picks are generally valued at the midway point of that round). Especially when you factor in the Cowboys received a very solid starter in Kenny Clark along with the picks.





Parsons is phenomenal. The Cowboys should have kept him, because now they are in limbo for the foreseeable future with an aging core. But the return was good value for a non-QB.

What other comps do you want? Teams arent dumb enough to trade star players in their primes.

I dont remember people being up in arms from the Chicago POV. It was viewed as a team trying to win now and it was a fairly reasonable return.

Kenny Clark is a negative at this point. The Packers were happy to get rid of him because he was terrible last year. He's gonna likely be cut after this season and sign a relatively short term/low guaranteed vet deal next season. The Pack were ecstatic for getting to move on from Clark.

The Cowboys get 2 picks likely somewhere in the 23-29 range for 2 seasons for a game changing edge rusher.

Jalen Ramsey is probably the best comp from a defensive standpoint. He was traded to a Rams team coming off a SB appearance. He brought back two 1s that were clearly projected to be late 1st round picks, and a 3rd rounder.

Other comparisons would be DeForest Buckner, and Frank Clark. Offensively Tyreek Hill, AJ Brown, DeVante Adams (part 1), and DeAndre Hopkins. I don't believe any of them brought back multiple 1s. There is also the Laremy Tunsil trade to consider, but that one had more players and extra picks involved from the Dolphins.

But the point is, plenty of elite level players have been moved over the years. Rarely has any of them brought back multiple 1's.

Again, I think it was a dumb move for Dallas to move him while they are simultaneously trying to compete. But value wise, it's good value for a non-QB.

He's had a brutal start to the season with the Chargers and Eagles. But how bad his support staff now is hilarious. He's their leading rusher. They'll still make the AFCCG somehow though. They get in the playoffs and spags becomes a genius and Mahomes somehow makes it work
 
Is there a team that is better at wasting talent than the Colts? Jonathan Taylor is a fucking beast, he should be in the same discussion as King Henry, Saquon, etc. he's an amazing pure runner, but he's been wasted on bad teams for so long.
 
Also Lamar took out the fucking beating stick this week. This BRowns team did alright vs. the Bengals, held them to only like 150 yards of offense last week this week Lamar easily smoked that number. In only 6 more attempts than Burrow, Lamar threw for 112 more yards and 3 more TDs. Lamar is the best QB in the NFL.
