GDT 9-15: Braves in DC

Drake getting to 20 homers would be a lock. I don't think he hits 4 more the rest of the way but getting back up to .280 is definitely doable.

At the very least, if he does opt out, trading for Kim gives us an edge over other teams by being familiar with the team/city and giving us an earlier chance to negotiate before he does make that decision.

I still find it unlikely anyone gives him more than a 2-3 year deal given he missed most of this season due to a serious injury and he hasn't hit very well in the brief time he has been back.

His bigger concern may be the defense. His offense is creeping back to pre-injury. He was never a good hitter, just an avg hitter with a good glove at SS. In a SSS, his defense is negative now.

Back issues always tend to linger and especially when you play up the middle.
