Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

Yeah like I said, I get it. But at the same time, diplomacy hasn’t been working with Venezuela for decades now. Kind of like if a guy is driving 85 in a 35 to play with his fancy car, I want to throw the book at him. If a guy is driving the same speed in the same place to get a heart attack victim to the hospital then I can overlook it. In this case it’s easy for me to look past because screw Venezuelan drug lords and the government they’ve bought.

Yeah, and by no means understand my apprehensions to be steeped in my unwavering support for Venezuelan Drug Cartels. I’m actually quite pro-solving the opioid epidemic. The problem for me is that you’re just blatantly disregarding the most basic and agreeable international laws unilaterally because the President and his team don’t want to get bogged down in the difficulty of actually solving the crisis.

It should not go unremarked that the cartels (and the insatiable appetites of Americans for drugs) have caused severe social problems in a number of countries. Im hoping that the United States does not get bent out of shape when and if those countries take extrajudicial actions against Americans involved in the drug trade including American addicts who fuel it.

Whether or not there is any real risk here, it is true that there are legitimate, ACADEMICALLY studied research showing a link, including by Harvard.
