I think liberals are the most hateful and unaccepting group of people in this country, in 2014.
They don't call us the Liberal Elite for nothing.

Maybe he can "convert" Johnny Football and the two of them can ship off to an island in the Pacific. ESPN still wouldn't be tolerable, but it would be a good start.
You're just upset you weren't the one next to him when he got the phone call and was taken...
Well I just have basic Direct TV so I don't get ESPN and thank god for that.
I agree with this article. Tebow was crucified and Sam was glorified. Doesn't make sense, but this is the media so what else is new.
He is guaranteed a roster spot or the Rams will be sued for discrimination by the ACLU.

where are the articles bashing others and complaining about seeing the other players push their sexual beliefs on others by kissing their girlfriends etc after being drafted?
I don't care about the kiss... I care about the press conferences, the endorsements, the camera in the house - of a potential undrafted player.
The dude is using his sexual orientation for a lot of personal gain. Seems that would upset a lot of the LGBT crowd.

This X1000000
I hope that last part is a joke, because there's no player that can't be cut if he doesn't perform. The ACLU would be handling settlements for just about every player who was cut f that weren't the case.
Honestly, I have no opinion about Sam. He's comparable to Tebow in that both are wonderful college football players who will have (or had in the case of Tebow) problems at the professional level due to their physical limitations. They both are cultural heroes to their decidedly different audiences.
Fisher supposedly wanted to draft Sam and gave orders to that effect. He's a savvy football guy, so my guess is he can handle whatever decision he will have to consider.
As for the spectacle, this is America in the 24/7 tweet-a-thon news cycle. I tire of spectacle in just about every instance.
On to more pressing matters: Is Sam the top or bottom? My money's on bottom.

LOL.
You can't tell me it's not a big deal that an openly gay football player will be in an NFL locker room.
Hopefully at some point it's not a big deal, but the amount of bigots in this country makes it one. Pretending it doesn't matter or isn't historic is just ignorance or bigotry itself.
I don't think he is good enough to play in the NFL just like Teo just like Tebow, but when they were cut, it was a fiasco. With Sam it would be even worse because of his sexual orientation and he and his agent knows this and will take full advantage if he is cut.
Yes I was over the top, but in the end it is the same thing. They cut him, there will be repercussions.
That will last all of five minutes except for the far reaches of the blogosphere and twitterverse. You can play or you can't. I think Sam gets that even if his fans--gay or otherwise--don't. I could be wrong and maybe he doesn't get that.
That sentence is exactly the way the media is trying to make you feel by force feeding you this story down your throat. Saying that someone is a bigot because they don't think a gay guy on a football team is a big deal is highly ignorant in itself. So you're a bigot if you don't think it's a big deal and you're a bigot if you put up a fuss about it? Are we only allowed to feel the same way ESPN feels about it?
Straight guys are never going to be cool with gay guys looking at their dongs. Millions of years of evolution make it uncomfortable for us. The best thing you can do is just not say anything stupid about it because a gays should have the same working rights as the rest of us.
Like every other non issue out there (Sterling), ESPN has to make a mountain out of a mole hill. They try and make you feel like if you don't think the same way they do, then there's something wrong with you. It's persuasive brainwashing. ESPN is trying to sell you on the fact that the way they feel about it is the way everyone else feels about it and if you feel any differently then you're ignorant or a bigot. Don't buy into their BS. You have a right to feel however you want to feel about it, whether you think it's a big deal or not. The bigots are sprinkled few and far between. The people who just want to watch football and don't give a rats ass about Michael Sam, gay or not, are the majority.
Name one, other that Joe Montana, who everyone knows is gay.Say WHAT?!?!
There have been pretty widely known gay players in the NFL for years. They just didn't announce it to the world, but most players knew about it.
