I’m saying that the FBI (under both Biden and Trump) was already actively prosecuting this type of fraud and that Nick Shirley has gained more attention and acclaim than the quality of his work deserved because of the political environment. Are you saying there was no Somali fraud that Shirley found ?
I don’t care how the right spends their money, but the guy isn’t actually very good at investigating things. Good for him for being good at making money though.lol ok shame he made some money off it and shed public light on the democrat Ponzi scheme
If he wanted to make money he should have fraudulently obtained it from the government instead of creating content that people are interested in!lol ok shame he made some money off it and shed public light on the democrat Ponzi scheme
This was really more meant to shade the people throwing piles of money at low quality investigative journalism instead of demanding the FBI do its job. I respect his hustle. If he wanted to make money he should have fraudulently obtained it from the government instead of creating content that people are interested in!
To be fair, this is a bit of a bipartisan issue. Republicans will largely fund and support social services but insist upon measures that will “increase efficiency” via private contractors being funded through grants instead of the government merely providing those services. And we see time and time again that all we really do is create a system where bad actors jump on that.Imagine how they must laugh at us in these other countries. “So we can just go there and pretend to put our kids in daycares that Achmed pretends to run and they’ll just give us money? Americans are so stupid.”
Sounds like we should designed the country to be a loose confederation of states, with a federal government that’s only responsible for things like foreign affairs, defense, and regulating interstate commerce. To be fair, this is a bit of a bipartisan issue. Interesting concept. I’d imagine you could get a few solid decades out of an idea like this before the federal government decides they will actually control everything.Sounds like we should designed the country to be a loose confederation of states, with a federal government that’s only responsible for things like foreign affairs, defense, and regulating interstate commerce.

One of the most entertaining things to watch if midterms go poorly for the right will be Rubio and Vance’s sudden embrace of civility in ‘28.Oh man - What a speech by Rubio.
Hope an infight doesn't brew between Vance and Rubio. Could have a 16 year succession here that would greatly benefit us.
We proceed by the other party continuing to knowingly fund it, I guess
How do you proceed as a nation when one party is a professional fraud ring and they want to destroy the country?
I’m encouraged by Trump trying to force voter ID. We simply can’t afford the democrats taking any power again. Whatever means necessary.
We proceed by catching it and creating real systems of audit so it doesn't happen again and our citizens benefit from living in the greatest country the world has ever seen.We proceed by the other party continuing to knowingly fund it, I guess
Let me know when that happens. We proceed by catching it and creating real systems of audit so it doesn't happen again and our citizens benefit from living in the greatest country the world has ever seen.
