Its an exhibition. Don't need to think to much about it.What I don’t get is why we’re using defensive outs made as a potential tiebreaker. You’re not using RD due to the mercy rule, shouldn’t that also pertain to defensive outs? If you win by a mercy killing in the 5th inning, for instance, that’s 18 defensive outs you’re losing. How is that fair to the team that won by so much they had to call the game?
It also rewards teams who have to play extra innings.
More looking forward to Didier’s next ramp up when he surpasses Strider’s 2022 4-seamer metrics.Very much looking forward to seeing how much strider ramps up the velocity today. Surely 2 years after the elbow procedure is enough of a rehab.
No doubtMore looking forward to Didier’s next ramp up when he surpasses Strider’s 2022 4-seamer metrics.

He can't.I think he's done as a starter. See if he can hit 98-9 in relief
It will always depend on command and secondaries. to be fastball slider only guy, then that is probably not enough to be anything more than MOR guy.. he brings the change and/or curve along and that is good enough to be good with good command.I don't know anything about this, but is 96 with 19 IVB good enough to get by with the fastball?
It seems like 2023 his fastball averaged 97.2 with 18.2 IVB. Last year it was 95.5 with 16.4 IVB. The question is if the velo comes back marginally or not at all but the IVB gets back up to 17-18, is that enough to be a MOR pitcher?
Unrelated: I'm shocked that his ERA was 3.86 in 2023. Obviously there are more relevant stats, it's just surprising to me in hindsight that he gave up that many runs given how dominant he felt.
