GDT #50: May 26, 2014 Red Sox (Buchholz) @ Braves (Santana), 1:10pm EST

I hope no one talks about BJ anymore, he is absolutely raking and he struck out on TWO bad strike calls.

Man when Heyward gets on base consistently it changes the entire offense. Been encouraged by BJ also. The tough part about our offense (but also potentially the good thing) is that other than second base, there is nowhere to upgrade. The players are there, they just have to perform. BJ is just looking awesome right now. Very very encouraging

BJ is actually looking like a competent hitter lately. Are we about to witness the mythical BJ hot streak? He used to have big month every year until last year.

With Buchholz out after only 3 IP, it'd be nice to start wearing out the Sawx bullpen for the remaining three games.

I think it's a good thing. This team has talented players, really talented players. They just need to play like it. Last year they did minus CF and 2B. Now BJ is actually putting it together and Heyward has played better. Even CJ is looking better than he did in April. It really is 2nd that we need to fix. And I think we have a guy in La Stella who can be that fix. Hopefully he gets his chance soon.

Braves also are leading the NL in a lot of offensive categories in the last 8 games. Must be the twilight zone.

I sent a scathing email about our hitting coaches. I told them they were fvcking clueless and they were collecting a check sitting on their asses.

Buchholz 8 walks, 3 innings. Last Red Sox p to do that: Lefty O’Doul, 1923.

Impressive
