OT: Ryan Braun done for 2013, A-Rod and Friends next?

Why? Baseball is an elite club. If you don't want to play by the rules, go back to where you came from and never come back. Seems pretty simple to me.

Honestly I only care about players on teams with 150+ million payroll using PED's. I dont fault the Brauns of the world for doing PED's, how else are they supposed to compete with teams like the Yankees? Do something about performance enhancing payrolls first then I will care about performance enhancing drugs. Just because the yankees are incompetent does not mean they do not have the largest advantage in american sports.

I love how everyone feels like they have to apologize after they **** up. Go to hell, Braun. You knew what you were doing was wrong and you did it anyway.

Apology seems hollow after he's lied about it the entire time. He's only apologizing because he got caught.

I only care about it when I think the guy is a douchebag. Although that seems like pretty much every time. Especially Melky.

So it was ok to let his lawyers destroy the normal joe schmo guy in his previous case when he knew he was guilty? Braun is a terrible person.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that is how court works. I suppose all criminals are douchebags for exercising their legal rights and hiring a lawyer to defend them......

Braun comes across as a pretty terrible person out of this ordeal. Really acted like a huge ass in hindsight. At least Lance Armstrong did the Cancer stuff.

He went after the guy in his prepared statement after winning the appeal. Unnecessary and in light of recent developments, inexcusable.

Statement from Ryan Braun (taken from CBS Sports):

“As I have acknowledged in the past, I am not perfect," said Braun in a statement. "I realize now that I have made some mistakes. I am willing to accept the consequences of those actions. This situation has taken a toll on me and my entire family, and it is has been a distraction to my teammates and the Brewers organization. I am very grateful for the support I have received from players, ownership and the fans in Milwaukee and around the country. Finally, I wish to apologize to anyone I may have disappointed – all of the baseball fans especially those in Milwaukee, the great Brewers organization, and my teammates. I am glad to have this matter behind me once and for all, and I cannot wait to get back to the game I love.”

What a piece of ****. They should just go ahead and ban him.

I also love the ambiguity of this statement. He doesn't mention roids/peds, and he doesn't admit to anything. All we know from this is, he's not perfect, and he's sorry if he's offended you. What a piece of ****.
