GDT: 6/30/'14 Atlanta Braves vs. NY Mets

It was a cheap ass challenge. The ole saying "people should know when they are conquered" comes to mind. BJ was standing up when the tag finally got applied. Yes he was out but it's still a cheap ass challenge.

The rule is there though you can use it, just because it goes against your team, doesn't mean they don't have the right to challenge. As it turns out it changed the whole complexion of the inning, so it was the proper thing to do.

In other words, he's no stranger to Wood.

Dont worry guys, I had a talk with the hitters mid inning. They are seeing way too many pitches out there. The first pitch is always the best pitch to hit in an at bat, we need to stop wasting them.

Technically yes...

BUT...It was a cheap ass challenge.

The rule also states you can't challenge after the hitter enters the box.

BJ got his other foot on it looked like to me. What BS. **** the Mets.

They got a call from the main office, if the Braves are down and the Nats are up, make sure the call go against Atlanta, the pundits need the Nats in 1st place by any means necessary especially 50/50 calls.

Uh what? Are you blind?

Right down the middle?

Guys who have issued 4 walks in 4 innings don't get that call.

Yea tell that fat blue butt **** behind the plate that.

They incorporated instant replay because they felt it was needed, but the real issues with umpires are balls and strikes... Plain and simple. They need a system to help them with that because they are god awful.

Oh and tell me how there was even enough evidence to overturn that? It was too close and his back foot may have got on. Can't overturn that. Bad call.

strange game so far for us, no hits five baserunners, only one strikeout. Usually when we don't score we K a lot.
