GDT: 9/1/14 Here Come the Reinforcements! Hamels Vs. Teheran

It's one game
of 162.

It happens -- that's baseball

With what 30 of so games left?

I understand you don't care if we make the playoffs or not, that is your motto. As long as it just a game, like politically, cool and what not, why should I care, attitude.

We are winners, we expect to win and field a team of winners. You don't, we respect that, but fvck you in not having any care if we win or lose.

what's the difference lose 8-7 or 1-0 ???

Rather this than go 13 and use up bullpen.

Mis matched line up -- beating a dead horse

get it already

No, we are people that watch games other people play on TV and listen on the radio

Shoot -bet half the people here haven't been to a game in 5 years. Gimme we are winners -- make me laugh

JUpton was surprised and seem none-too-thrilled about being replaced in 9th inning, but bit his tongue in commenting about it.

Our manager is the reason we won't be re-signing JUpton and Heyward

No I'm pretty sure thats on our GM and the fact that he has consistently tied up a quarter of our payroll in AAAA garbage players.

I was being facetious to Sturg earlier with my comment about it not mattering that Justin was pinch hit for.

Here's the differences in the managers.

To secure the no-hitter, Sandberg brought in his closer. Fredi hit for his best hitter.

Not saying Sandberg is better, but it's telling.

Good point!

Unbelievable. I really want to see that ignorant ****er fired. Today is too late, but I'll take it.

Bet the Giants won't tank like this against a last place team tonight. It's cool though. We've got all the time in the world.

Not like we were facing a top 5-10 SP or anything.

Not defending Fredi or the team but the other team gets paid too.

For the record, i dont care if Fredi is fired or not.

I doubt it changes the fact this offense is terrible.

U know the thing about this team and I'm not sure if it's them or it's us but just when we think this team is on a roll something like this happens or usually worse since this is only one game. Same thing when we think this team has no chance they show us that they do. Soooo maddening either start playing more consistAntly or stop giving us hope that better days are ahead. At least we got no hit by Hamels and not Kendrick or something

So are a lot of the guys we would face in October. You can't keep using the excuse of a guy just being too hard to hit. Phillies aren't have any problems with Teheran this half inning. Doesn't matter who is on the mound, you have to win games like this.

Sure but the offense blows.

Been that story all year, the team just isnt that good.

Kind of how I feel. This is a less than optimum mix of players. The foundation of Freeman, Heyward, and J. Upton (in alphabetical order) is pretty solid. Gattis is a good complementary player. La Stella is a good contingent player. The other guys can't hit at all.

Didn't get to watch was Julio bad all day or did he get frustrated and implode like he does from time to time? Frankly Julio's outing is more concerning to me then the offense sucking we knew that already

Everyone is just overreacting because we got no hit. It's okay, I threw my controller against the wall when we gave away the game in the 7th inning. It's just another loss though. Granted, we can't suffer many more of those, but we're still in this.

Listening to FG on the pregame today talking about Wood's yesterday outing saying Wood was frustrated for not getting through the 8th in his last start and him saying if he expected to be an elite NL starter he had to learn how to do that. My thoughts are after the error today that is what happened to Teheran. And this isn't the first time. He says he threw Rivera a good pitch but just didnt get where he wanted. I think, next year, he makes that pitch.

On Julio's end, growing pains. Not imploding or getting frustrated just didn't get the ball where he wanted. Perhaps a lag in concentration or, just trying too hard to make a perfect pitch

That's complete BS. It made perfect sense to get constanza an AB there. The no-hit means nothing. That's a perfect example of the kind of decisions managers have to make and fans bitch about.
