I love how everyone says the Big Ten is awful because Ohio State and Michigan aren't the top teams anymore.

Big 10 has been horrible for a long time.

In the 16 years of the BCS championship they've only won 1 title. OSU was blown out 2 times and barely beat Miami.

Yes they are down because Michigan is no longer a good team.

This is fine. Spartans will never get any respect and that's fine with me. Weren't supposed to beat Ohio State last season and were supposed to lose to Stanford as well.

Got run out of town by Oregon. OhIo got beat down by a ragingly mediocre Va Tech team.

Run out of town? We were leading midway through the third quarter. Their staff made adjustments and we did not. The game was much closer than the final score indicated. I don't know many teams in the country that could have gone into Autzen and played as well as they did. But they didn't finish and that's what great teams do.

They're down because all their teams are down. Michigan, OSU, Penn State, they're all down.

You can't compare conferences.

For all the faults the Big ten May have, they do have the best QB and perhaps, the best player in college football

Michigan St is like South Carolina. A good solid team no doubt, but if they are carrying your conference then you are in trouble. Not comparing these two teams this particular year, but in general.

The talent in college football is in four places.

- First and foremost the southeast, with particular emphasis in Florida and Georgia, but plenty of talent exists in other deep south states and South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia.

- California

- Texas

- Ohio

This is where the large majority of the talent is. Michigan St typically won't beat OSU, PSU and MSU for the Ohio talent, but lately their program has been better coached and more stable. Although I think the tide is turning here. PSU hired a really good coach and OSU has Urban. Michigan will hire someone good next time most likely as well. That's kind of how these patterns work out.

If you mean college by recruitment? That doesn't effect what school they go to, to be honest. Sure you're potentially more likely to stay at home, but playing time and things of that nature can sway you to other places.

It's atrocious. Michigan State is a very good team that can make the playoff if it wins out. Wisconsin is pretty solid. Ohio State got exposed for what they are. Everyone else is bleh.
