College Football Thread

UCLA misses field goal at end, gets a gift running into kicker penalty, then misses again and loses.

5 top-10 teams lose this week. Unreal. Goodnight.

After this totally unreal day of college football, here's how my top ten would look:

1. Florida State
2. Auburn (barf)
3. Ole Miss
4. Baylor
5. Mississippi State
6. Notre Dame
7. Alabama
8. Oklahoma
9. Michigan State
10. Georgia

Michigan State can't be ranked ahead of Oregon. Baylor will lose at least one game this season.

After a night of rest I have calmed down. A 27-3 lead at home and they very nearly lost the game in the end. When your strength of schedule is like 50 something you need convincing wins each time out there. Just very upset they didn't blowout Nebraska like they should have. Props to Nebraska for playing tough the entire game though.

For all the hate the B1G gets and its warranted, why doesn't the PAC 12 receive any negative press? Their four top teams lost this week and nobody says a word.

Well, most SEC fans thumb their nose at the Pac-12, anyway. The way we see it, UCLA wouldn't crack the top 5 in the SEC West. This year, they'd be a top 3 in the SEC East maybe.

No way Oregon would survive a conference schedule like that either.

Polls are utterly meaningless. Especially only 1 week into October. It's a number next to a teams name to try and hype up a game later on in the week.

Tried to "Thank You" a post twice.

SEC West has the bright lights on them now --

Aub vs Miss State

Ala vs Arkansas

LSU vs Fla !!! -- this might be the most telling game about the "strength " of SEC West

Ole Miss vs Texas A&M

Louisiana-Monroe vs Kentucky --- 25 % of L-M schedule is vs SEC . Can you say "tomato can" ??

makes me wonder how much Mark Richt makes based on endorsement deals ?
not opposed to Richt making money but the players ...

Gurly was (along with Jameis) the most fun NCAA player this season

Per the Macon Telegraph.

Sports Illustrated reported Thursday night that a person told Georgia's compliance office that he paid Gurley $400 to sign 80 items one day this past spring. There is a video and photo of Gurley signing the items, according to SI.com, but neither shows money being exchanged.

A bunch of guys making six, seven and eight figures are going to say with a straight face a kid who made $400 shouldn't be allowed to play.

Should have stolen some crab and been done with it.

Yes, and that's completely beside the point.

If you let some **** slide and not other ****, it eliminates your credibility.

When the university is allowed to make money off jerseys with his number, it eliminates the justification for such a stupid rule.

Like I said, just steal some crab or steal from some teammates. You will either be good, or you can go to another school.
