So who plays RF?

Let's try and keep your crying about Jason out of this thread.

Internal options, trade, or free agency? Isn't Justin better suited in right field too? So could we actually be looking for someone to play left field?

Justin is a natural RFer actually. It's what he's normally played. I think we go after a Aoki type of guy to be honest.

I have a bad feeling the current plan is Gattis, BJ and JUp. It is going to be absolutely BRUTAL defensively. The Braves needed an OFer before Heyward was traded. Since Heyward could play CF they only needed someone like Aoki for RF and the OF would have been "fixed". Now they need a CFer, and that is going to be much harder to find.

If Justin is traded they will probably just not even bother fielding an OF unit.

My guess is that we're going to be hitting the non-tender/lower-rung FA piles for an OF or two. Not the sexy thing to do, but I think there will be some mixing and matching.

Again, about Gattis in LF. I've watched Willingham up here in Minnesota, and Gattis is Baryshnikov by comparison.

So obviously someone else will play left field.

Since the Braves brass are all liars, right?

It would not surprise me. The whole "Gattis in left" thing has had the feel of trying to build his value from the beginning (by not saying we have to unload him because he can't play catcher).

Fredi seemed to like Bonifacio. That's my guess for CF if we can unload BJ.

They must be waiting on his price to come down. He was lusted after for a long time it seems and they finally landed him and have a need for him next year.

I think they are waiting to see what happens with BJ.
