NBA Thread

Basketball is a tiring sport. Hard to play well when you are being over extended. It's also a team sport and you need talent on the floor. You are just looking at box scores and have no context at all. Basically the usual with you.

You are so full of crap. You hype up all these guys to no end and then when they prove they can do nothing on their own, then you make some other excuse for them.

In other words, its easy to play when you have two superstars on the team, but that doesn't mean you are a good player, it means you can be a role player. Well, in the case of Adams, he can't even do that.

Who on the Thunder have I called stars?

You hyped the **** out of Jackson (Who I like), Serge, Lamb, PJ3, Adams, Robertson. So if all those players are THAT good, then they should be able to win and Adams shouldn't suck as much as he does. BUT only Reggie and Serge are worth a damn other than KD and RW

I've never said any of those guys were close to stars aside from Ibaka. Lets see how much different it looks when the team is healthy and doesn't have to play Lance Thomas and Sebatian Telfair. Easy to defend when you only have 1 or 2 legit options out there at one time.

Also, PJ3 and Roberson have been hurt. Had those guys been healthy for hte last couple of weeks we might have won another 2 games.

I didn't say stars BUT you did rave about those players and MY point is, if those players were as good as you thought THEN there is no reason that OKC couldn't be 500 or close when KD and RW come back. Fact is, those players blow outside of Reggie and Serge....which is fine, most teams would go in the tank losing their best 2 players. My only point of contention is how you rave about their bench players because again, simply put, if they were that good then OKC wouldn't be this bad, currently.

Its not like the team is getting blown out in these games.

I get that a loss is a loss but if you look at the fourth quarter differentials its clear that htese guys are getting tired from the sheer fact they don't have enough bodies to play these games.

Don't forget Anthony Morrow.

This would be a good point if the Thunder players were good in the first quarter.

1Q 24.5 - 22

2Q 20.6 - 24

3Q 21.5 - 24.1

4Q 22.5- 24.3

They wear down in the 2nd Quarter!

How many teams other than SA/Chi would be able to do well while losing their best 2 players?

Not many would.

Teams that have top 10 centers, all world power forward, the best Fa signing in the NBA, and a starting caliber point guard.

Interesting stat: Thunder have led in the second half of 12 games this season. Only Memphis (13) has led in more.

Jeff Teague has been looking very good lately. Hopefully Dennis playing good ball a few weeks ago lit a fire under Teague. He's the key for the Hawks success in my opinion.

Ibaka was NBA ranked at 25, Kevin Love at 7. But the Cavs probably would swap those guys if they could and OKC wouldn't
